Now it's almost invisible.
Zhou Yun turned to glance at Ning Yao.
Ning Yao's eyes were similarly filled with surprise, even with a bit of unexpected delight.
...
The re-edited version of the movie is much smoother than the previous one, reducing many of Zhu Wenju's self-expressions, and focusing on the character of Ning Yao, speaking from the character's perspective.
The monologues, almost like a single person's, were almost entirely deleted, replaced by a large number of close-ups and special shots.
But these segments instead highlighted Ning Yao even more.
Her character in this edited version is more three-dimensional, coherent, and directly touches the hearts of the audience.
Zhou Yun had a premonition that if this version were screened domestically again, Ning Yao would become a strong contender for this year's Best Actress.
Wonderful.
Ning Yao's performance was meticulous.
And this was not shown in the previous version.
