Chapter 1 - The Day I was all alone

I was in a wide room sitting by the window which was closed but few rays of sunlight passed through the glass and entered the room. The room had four walls of which one was painted orange making it different from the other white walls. I was sitting on a single twin bed with two rectangular pillows and a small square pillow as back support and an elliptical pillow as my armrest.

I was relaxedly sitting submerged in my favourite pink mattress with medium-sized white polka dots. As it was the month of December, the weather was chilly. As I heard my stomach growl, I raised my head to see the time displayed on the black LED clock which was hanging on the white wall beside the closed window. The clock displayed 12:30 PM in bold red letters which suited the black body of clock.

There was not a single person except me in the two-storey building. I lifted my body from the bed before placing my foot on the white floor. I walked towards the showcase which donned souvenirs from variety of different places. Not sparing a glance to the items I quickly pulled open the drawer and took two items which were the house key and my electric bike's key. I slowly pushed the drawer to close it before locking the house and moving towards my bike.

The bike standing in front of me looked like a beautiful ocean. As it was originally fantastic blue colour, which was further enhanced by the sunlight falling on its dazzling body. As I reached the bike, I caressed its beautiful azure body before placing myself on it. I inserted the key into the keyhole and in an instant the bike was energized as the display was lit. I glanced at the charging bar which was almost half full before deciding the location.

"It has been a while since I last rode you, right? Optima." I said while smiling apologetically before disappearing into the distance.
