Chapter 67 - Tsukiya-3

Otsutsuki Kaguya, once the rabbit goddess of the world, would like to consider herself to be a calm and disciplined individual that could not be easily shaken. If she wasn't, she wouldn't have been able to decide the exact right moment to betray Isshiki and save the world she had found herself on and ended up falling in love with.

But everyone's discipline had it's limits and the knowledge that her last child that she had created in order to free herself had not only created circumstances that had led to her descendant killing each other for centuries but also had been responsible for plunging the world into a state of war that stretched longer than the people of her world remembered, likely almost as long as her sealing, was quite past her's.

This was not what she wanted. She loved this world and its people, she even loved her sons even though they had betrayed her. She had been disappointed when they had went against her, and quite angry when they sealed her, but she would never wish such an atrocity on their bloodline; her bloodline.

She wanted to deny this Shingetsu's words, deny that her last creation had destroyed her family and plunged her adoptive world into chaos and war; but she simply could not bring herself to. Maybe it was because of the way he spoke so confidently, or the way he had described the possession power her creation had. Whatever it was, she could not deny that the boy was speaking the truth. That she had caused a suffering that could only be surpassed by her accursed clan.

No, no she could still fix this. The fact that people needed chakra to survive would put a damper to her plans but this simply meant she could have an army of chakra wielders, even if none of them were strong enough to pose a threat to the rest of Otsutsuki. She just had to get out of the seal, deal with her creation and once more bring peace to the world so that they could prepare for the Otsutsuki.

"Yanagi Shingetsu." She started speaking with all of her regality.

"I found the situation of the world that you described to be unacceptable, it must change. And for that, I must bring peace to this world once more. You need to release me from my seal." She declared, her experience as a living goddess amongst the people helping her theatrics as she tried to appear as divine as she could and the young man before her smiled with a bow.

"Very well, Kaguya-sama. But please, tell me how I can release the seal without the chakras of the Tailed Beasts." The tailed what now?

Likely understanding that he should properly explain himself, which had absolutely nothing to with the confused look on her face as she did not make faces like that, Shingetsu continued.

"They are the nine chakra beasts created by Hagoromo using the chakra of the ten tails. Each one of them unique and possessing powers beyond any normal human. Currently they are divided among the most powerful nations and sealed inside one of their shinobi after one of your descendants named Hashirama captured and divided them among nations." Kaguya nodded with a thoughtful expression. At least that explained what her foolish boy did with the ten tails. She had thought that he would have tried to seal it into something else after his death but dividing it's power was a smart decision too, as expected of her son. It was also nice to hear one of her descendants was stronger than beings created ten tails and declared powerful beyond humans.

"Are you saying that gathering these beasts is impossible?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Not exactly. But each of these beasts are sealed into strong warriors and trying to gather them would start a war." He said with an uneasy look and Kaguya nodded.

"Very well, I shall think about a solution. Return soon and I shall give you directions. But first…" Kaguya said as she raised her hand towards the young man and concentrated on the small vestige of chakra she still possessed.

"…a gift." And Yanagi Shingetsu disappeared.

So… that happened. There was quite honestly no other words I could think of for what had just transpired.

At least I understood how it happened. Two of the lures I had bought, Hypnos and Maestro, allowed me to interact with people through dreams. I had quite literally ended up in Kaguya's head due to them and trying to connect to the moon.

Whelp, since I knew how I did it; I could do it again later. After I had decided how to deal with… whatever it was the situation with Kaguya was.

I had acted a bit too obedient when I talked to her since I didn't know how much power she had but that also meant trying to seduce her would be… difficult. Kaguya felt like a woman who would take a few miles if given an inch after all.

Oh well, that was the problem of the future me. The present me was bored and wanted some action, question was who could I goad into a spar? Maybe Satsuki? Or maybe I would have a better chance with the teams that graduated last year.

Before I could think any further about who I should pester in order to get a spar, I realized that there was something wrong with me; with my hand to be specific. There was a white diamond shaped mark on the middle of my palm, one that I could feel a very peculiar chakra from.

Kāma. The biological seal of Otsutsuki clan that could transform one into an Otsutsuki and a possible candidate for an Otsutsuki to use as a vessel in order to be reborn. In a way similar to Orochimaru's cursed seal, it gave its user an tremendous power boost; except Kāma's boost was far greater. Especially the white Kāma like mine which appeared in people who could not become a vessel for an Otsutsuki soul.

Something I could not let the village know the existence of, great.
