Cursing my luck, once again, I pinched the bridge of my nose and began grumbling.
Taking a minute to let out all of my frustration before getting back to the situation at hand.
Because me being angry isn't going to do Otto or his wife any good.
Thus I got everything out of my system.
"Peter. Are you alright?" Spinner asked me.
"Yeah. Fine. Just, wondering why all this shit only happens to me?"
"Because you choose to be a hero and do the things no one else will." Spinner replied.
"Thanks for trying to cheer me up pal. And for the record it's working." I said. "But back to the main topic at hand. The Octavious' kidnapping. What do you have for me?"
"Not much, I'm afraid." Spinner told me. "Given the way the assailants operated I felt it too much of a risk to place any Spider-Bots in the immediate vicinity of them or the Octavious couple. But I have tasked the bots with tracking the vans the assailants are using to transport the Octavious couple, and on that note, I swear I will not lose them."
"Understood." I replied. "Keep me posted. And if anything major happens then contact me. Also, fill in Gwen on the situation. But make sure she doesn't do anything crazy."
Since I know Gwen, and I understand where she's coming from.
But going off without a plan in this type of situation is extremely dangerous.
So no matter much we might hate it we have to wait.
"Actually I am informing right now just as I am informing you." Spinner replied.
"As usual good work. Boy, what would I do without you?"
"Hopefully you never have to find out." Spinner cheekily replied.
Leading me to chuckle at the joke he made.
It also leads me to think maybe it's time I allow Spinner to connect to the world-wide web.
Even if it's only been a short while since I created him he's shown remarkable progress in regards to AI.
Still there is a risk doing such a thing would lead to him going full Skynet or Ultron on me.
Yeah,I need to talk to Gwen first.
Get her opinion.
Having made a decision on that I ended my call with Spinner.
I then went to lie down.
Working to get as much sleep as I could despite the unknown fate of doctor Octavious and his wife.
My only consolation knowing both of them were alive.
For whoever orchestrated their kidnapping wanted it that way.
But what truly worries me is that I don't know the exact reason why.
Well no matter what it is I'll handle it.
After all, I'm the Superior Spider-Man.
This in mind I got comfortable until I eventually found myself asleep.

Getting up bright and early the following morning I had a quick breakfast with Uncle Ben and Aunt May before immediately heading to the Web.
Gwen arriving a few minutes after me.
Once she did we both took up positions in front of one of the main terminals.
"Okay Spinner, show us what you've got." I instructed him.
"Of course." He replied.
Spinner then brought up multiple video feeds.
But only of two different locations.
The first of which showed Rosalie.
Who is blindfolded, gagged, and secured to a chair by large chains. Guarded by the same people who Spinner described to me and Gwen last night when he called to inform us of the Octavious couples kidnapping.
Her location in a warehouse by the docks.
While the second location showed an awake and restrained Otto, surrounded by the same people who are currently around his wife.
His location, a factory in the city.
"Holding Otto and his wife at two separate locations, so if the police get on to them they still have a bargaining chip. Smart." I commented.
"Yeah. And their gear is no joke either." Gwen mused. Her eyes scanning not only the weapons the people in the video are carrying, but also the restraints they are using to hold back Otto tentacles.
Driving home whoever kidnapped the Octavious couple has both money and resources.
'Seriously, who is behind this?' I thought.
Then no sooner than after I thought that did I get an answer.
When one Joseph "Hammerhead" Martello suddenly walked over into view on one of the Spider-Bot camera feeds from the location where Otto is being held.

The man looking exactly like he did in the Insomniac games.
Meaning his personality is likely the same.
But more than that is means the Maggia are involved in this kidnapping.
Well at least the Hammerhead family is.
Then again I don't know if Hammerhead is on his own right now or if he's still working for Silvermane.
Either way he's done.
"Spinner, from the way everyone's acting it looks like the boss just walked in, of someone with similar authority. So get me everything you can on this guy." I said.
"Right away Peter." Spinner replied.
Then in just a minute he pulled up all the information we could ever need on Hammerhead.
From his criminal records, to his medical records, to even his school records.
All of which selected him as the same sadistic sociopath he was in the games.
But that doesn't answer the big question.
What's he want eirh Otto and Rosalie?
"Monster." Gwen muttered. A truly disgusted look onhm her face as she looked through Hammerheads records.
"He is." I replied.
Watching as the man himself came to a stop in front of Otto on the video feeds.
Leading Octavious to look at him.
"Who are you? Are you the one who caused this? Where's my wife?!" Otto began shouting angrily.
"Hey, hey, doc. You're being too loud. Quiet it down." Hammerhead said. "Or else, we'll make you."
"Do you really think you'll get away with this?" Otto asked.
Ignoring Hammerhead words of warning.
As he did Hammerhead looked at one of his subordinates.
Who nodded.
They then pressed a button on a remote in their hands.
"Agh!!!"
Otto screaming out in pain a second later.
Since electricity starting moving from the bindings on his arms into the rest of his body.
But that only lasted a few seconds.
Once it was over Hammerhead walked up to him and lifted his head up to look him in the eye.
"Now, you get what I mean. Keep quiet or else." Hammerhead threatened.
"You monster." Otto managed to reply.
"Says the man with Octopus tentacles fused to his back." Hammerhead replied. "But don't worry doc I don't care about those. What I do care about is that fancy energy generator you made. Man, when my boy at the exposition told me about it I couldn't believe it. Such a good one waiting to be tapped."
"What? Are you saying you want me to build you a fusion reactor?" Otto asked.
"There see. Now you're using your head." Hammerhead spoke.
"You're truly insane if you think I'll help you." Otto replied.
"Ah, don't say things like that doc. You'll make me sad." Hammerhead spoke.
He then pulled out a phone from his pocket and held it up to Otto, showing him a life video feed of Rosalie.
"And if I get sad, who knows what might happen to that pretty wife of yours." He threatened.
Hammerhead sporting a malicious smile on his face as he did.
"No, don't hurt her." Otto immediately pleaded.
"That's entirely up to you doc." Hammerhead replied. "Now you can either be a good little scientist and build me a fusion reactor weapon of watch as your wife is torn apart before you yourself experience the same thing." He explained.
"Weapon." Otto mused.
"Yeah, weapon." Hammerhead replied. "One that will allow me to become the true leader of this city. And deal with all those annoying freaks in masks that keep popping up like those damn spiders or that red devil in Hell's Kitchen." The criminal explained.
"Ah, so he does care." I faked mused. Before getting serious once more.
I then turned to Gwen. "I'll take Octavious, you take Rosalie. Any objections?"
"Just one. The police?"
"Let's have Spinner contact them and give them the locations five minutes after we make our move." I spoke.
"Sounds good to me." Gwen replied.
"And I will keep monitoring the situations in real time and let you know of any drastic changes." Spinner spoke.
Both Gwen and I nodding at his words.
Once we did we left the train car and went to suit up.
But as we did I grabbed Gwen hand and guided her over to one of the display cases.
One I had covered with a tarp.
"Peter, what's going on?" She asked me.
"Nothing much, just wanted to give my girlfriend a present." I spoke.
I then pulled the tarp off the suit display case
Revealing an armored version of Gwen own spider costume that I had created with Spinner help over the past few weeks.

"Peter this..." Gwen trailed off.
"Yeah. I mean things are only going to get more dangerous for us doing this whole hero thing, and I didn't feel right I was the only one who keeps getting upgrades, and let led me to make this for you. Like it?"
Me getting an answer to my question as Gwen stepped closer and pulled me into a passionate French kiss.
But one she broke quickly.
Given we had work to do.
So with that we hoth suited up and headed out.
Gwen heading off to rescue Rosalie.
While I heard off to rescue Octavious.
As well as hunt a crazed shark.
