In every edition of the Wan Island Tournament, there are preliminary and semi-final rounds, and this time is no different.
However, the method of holding the preliminaries varies each time. Sometimes participants are required to hunt down bandits, other times to enter Sea Clan cities to defeat Sea Clan soldiers, or to kill demon beasts on a deserted island. There are even times when participants must enter the Demon Cave to eliminate demons.
Although the methods differ each year, the preliminaries always eliminate ninety-nine percent of the participants, leaving only one percent to proceed to the semi-finals.
Thus, out of five hundred thousand participants, only five thousand can enter the semi-finals.
The semi-finals always have a quota of five thousand participants!
This edition is no exception.
