Ling Feng stopped in his tracks, turned around, and looked at Zeng Xiaofei: "What do you mean by 'something's wrong'?"
"The leaders of both sides weren't speaking Huaxia language, it sounded foreign, and they were fighting over something. One side grabbed the item and vanished without a trace!" Zeng Xiaofei said.
"What do you mean by 'vanished without a trace'? You mean like they disappeared into thin air?" Ling Feng asked.
"Yeah, it was quite chaotic at the scene, many were injured; I saw it by chance. They snatched something wrapped in a red cloth, then about four or five of them turned and ran. They hadn't got far before they just disappeared!" Zeng Xiaofei explained.
"Interesting!"
Ling Feng nodded, reaching out to pat his shoulder.
But Zeng Xiaofei shuddered and instinctively stepped back two steps.
"What's wrong? Why so nervous? You think I'd do something to harm you?"
Seeing this, Ling Feng was speechless and asked with a smile.
