Misho blinked, his mind struggling to process the sheer weight of her words.
"Wait! I had no choice when I was betrothed to Erika! I-Is that really easy for you to decide on your own marriage?" Misho asked, feeling out of touch.
Compared to the 22nd century, her way of thinking was out of this world, literally.
"I don't suppose you are a bad man, right?" Natalia looked him up and down.
"I'm not, but what about romance? Aren't you gonna fall in love with a prince charming or something?" Misho asked, unable to accept her offer. It came too suddenly.
"I already threw caution to the wind, my hero. …The moment you promised to save me, I have gone off script, as you would say."
Natalia smiled, carefree and without any worry about her betrothal to him.
"I see…"
Misho slumped back down on the couch. He thought back to their dance and to her words then. At that time, he was the one that insisted on helping her.
