Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 No Mercy At All

Rebecca Quentin held her breath and listened carefully for any sound outside the door.

Huh, why isn't there any sound?

"Howard..."

Rebecca called out again, but after waiting for a long while, there was still no response from outside the bathroom door.

Has he left the room? Or did he not understand my hint?

Filled with doubt, Rebecca got out of the bathtub.

She had intended to put on her bathrobe and check if Howard was still in the room. However, as she was looking for it, a strong arm suddenly wrapped around her, pulling her into an embrace.

"AH!" she cried out, then immediately smelled a familiar, pleasant masculine scent. "How... Howard..."

Howard didn't let Rebecca say anything more. He tilted her head back and kissed her fiercely.

Rebecca had no time to react. Unable and unwilling to resist, she parted her lips, allowing his mouth and tongue to delve deep.

They gradually melted into each other...

Slowly, all her reservations and anxieties dissolved under Howard's skillful touch. Unconsciously, she reached for his neck, her arms winding tightly around him.

With no experience in love or intimacy, Rebecca gradually succumbed to Howard's lead.

Howard carried Rebecca back to the room.

Overcome with shyness, she kept her face buried in his chest.

Howard gently laid Rebecca on the bed and pulled the covers up for her.

Blushing, Rebecca clutched the blanket, only her beautiful eyes visible. Seeing he wasn't planning to sleep with her, she asked softly, "Do you have something else to do?"

Howard replied, "I usually have a drink before bed. You go to sleep first." Then he kissed her forehead.

She closed her eyes shyly, her mind replaying the scenes from the bathroom.

She'd been terrified while it was happening, but afterward, it didn't seem like a big deal at all.

But, having given him her first time, an unfamiliar sense of belonging washed over her. It was as if he was the one she could rely on from now on.

「In the dead of night」

A proud figure in a bathrobe stood before the hotel's floor-to-ceiling window.

He held a glass of red wine. The wine's vibrant red, catching the faint light from outside, cast an eerie glow, deepening the cold, heavy aura around him.

His phone vibrated, shattering the night's silence. He pressed the answer button.

A subordinate's respectful voice came from the other end of the line, "President, Miss Quinn is awake. She said she wants to see you..."

The woman's voice on the phone seemed to touch a soft spot in his heart. His usually stern, emotionless face gradually softened. Abruptly, he set down his wine glass and dialed a number.

"Christine..."

Christine Quinn's voice, weak yet gentle, came through the phone, "Where are you?"

"I'm at my place."

"Can you come over now? I miss you so much..."

"Alright, I'll be right there."

"MHM."

After changing his clothes, Howard glanced at Rebecca, sleeping soundly in the bed. Without a trace of pity or affection, he left the residence.
