She knocked a few times on the door, discovered Howard Geoffrey wasn't in the room, and wondered to herself. Could he be angry?
She searched a bit and later asked a servant only to find out he was in the study on the first floor.
Coming to the study door, Rebecca Quentin wore a slightly ingratiating smile and gently knocked on the door.
"Come in."
A consistently indifferent voice came from inside.
Rebecca Quentin maintained the ingratiating smile, twisted the doorknob, and entered.
