"Then can you tell me why, when Alice was tarnishing my reputation, you didn't help me both times?"
"Before I answer you, I want to know why you're suddenly asking me this today."
"Because during the press conference, I called you and asked if you would help me out of my predicament, and you promised you would." Rebecca Quentin paused here, swallowed the bitterness in her throat, then continued, "But I only found out today that you didn't help me... not the first time, nor the second time. I thought the second time I was relieved was because you secretly helped me, but I just learned today that it was Chester Robinson who helped me."
"You contacted him?" Howard Geoffrey's brow slightly raised, his hoarse voice mixed with a hint of coldness.
Rebecca Quentin replied truthfully, "Yes, he is my friend, and his family is going through such a big issue, I couldn't help but be concerned, even though I know you don't like me contacting him."
"So, did he give you some documents?"
