"Yes" xi yi answered calmly as he raised a brow
'Why is this little kitten asking? Does she want a tattoo?' Xi yi thought.
"Why are you asking do you want one?" He asked teasingly
Jia xin didn't even hear what xi yi was saying her head was suddenly banging, she winced in pain and was suddenly feeling dizzy, she placed her hands on her head and groaned.
"What is wrong, does your head hurt." Xi yi asked with so much concern. Jia xin lifted her head and saw the worried look on xi yi's face she felt sweet inside, she couldn't bear to tell him that she was having migraines so she shook her head and said to him softly
" it's nothing am just having a slight headache, maybe am just too tired"
" i will call rong zhi to come over " xi yi was about to take out his phone when Jia xin held his hand
" Am fine it's nothing to worry about i just need to rest and i will be okay, i just need rest that's all" she said in a weak but reassuring tone.
Xi yi frowned worry was written all over his face, he carefully helped her to the bed and tucked her in.
" do you need me to get you anything?" He asked thoughtfully
"No, nothing i just need to sleep that's all" Jia xin reassured. Xi yi's phone suddenly rings, he picked it up and the only thing she heard was cancel it, she knew it definitely had something to do with work, she held his hands and motioned for him to go. Xi yi ended the call and looked at her
"I can't leave you when you are not feeling well, the meeting can be rescheduled" xi yi said in a doting tone.
"If you stay here and miss your meeting because of me, i will feel guilty and i will not be able to rest well so just go for the meeting i will be fine." Jia xin said in a soft tone, she tried to hide the pain she was feeling and speak as natural as she could be.
Xi yi sighed in defeat, what was he going to do with this woman "ok fine, i will leave when I see you fall asleep" he said
Jia xin sighed in defeat and closed her eyes, 30 mins later when xi yi noticed she was already asleep he carefully pecks her forehead and left. Two mins after he left Jia xin opened her eyes.
Jia xin's had to pretend to fall asleep, because she knew Exactly why she was having migraines; she hasn't taken her drugs for two days now, she forgot to take it with her when she left her apartment she was really in a lot of pain her face was already so pale she didn't want to bother xi yi, but what if this affects her baby. With that thought Jia xin slowly and carefully walked to the bathroom.
When xi yi got back home that evening he couldn't find Jia xin in bed so he thought maybe she was in the bathroom, when he checked the bathroom and couldn't find her he went downstairs to ask the butler since grandma was not in the house, Mrs Jiao told him that Jia xin left the house as soon as he left " young madam said she had things to take care of, and she might be returning late" Mrs Jiao said. Xi yi was surprised wasn't she sick where on earth could she have gone to? he thought. Xi yi walked upstairs, few minutes later he came back downstairs and left the house in a hurry, xi yi knew something was wrong earlier today but he didn't know exactly what it was he seemed to suddenly have an idea.
Jia xin couldn't sleep at all even when she tried to force it so she left the house so she could go back to her apartment.
Tang ning was surprised when she saw Jia xin that afternoon good thing she didn't go to work today, but what shocked her more was Jia xin looking so pale, she helped her in and settled her on the sofa.
" Ning i forgot to ta..take my medicine" Jia xin said weakly
" what!! , omg. I will go get it right now" tang ning hurriedly walked inside and came back way ith the drugs and fed it to her friend. Tang ning felt really sorry for Jia xin she has never had a good life she even has to suffer from an incurable disease.
Tang ning picked up her phone and called both Jia cheng and Dylan, they arrived as quickly as they could.
" Xiao xin does it hurt much?" Dylan asked softly
" Dylan it hurts so much,..it hurts" Jia xin answered sobbing silently
" Jia xin, grandpa is here now okay?" Chen jia cheng was really trying to hold back his grief. She hardly has to go through this since she always takes medications but she had to forget her medicine.
" by the way, did you tell wang xi yi about it" tang ning suddenly asked
" No, i am not ready to tell him yet. If he asks i can just say it's morning sickness," Jia xin softly answered while Jia cheng held onto the ice bag on her head.
"Don't worry mommy is going to be back soon" Jia cheng said calmly after Dylan and tang ning went to the kitchen to make her congee.
Xi yi arrived at Jia xin's apartment and knocked on the door after a few minutes a young boy opened the door,
" is Jia xi here?" xi yi asked in a calm tone he could already guess that this is Jia cheng,Jia xin's younger brother.
Jia cheng was shocked to see wang xi yi but what was more shocking was his gentle tone though he still emitted the aura of a king,Jia cheng let him in.
Xi yi felt his heart breaking when he saw Jia xin lying
on the sofa with a pale and a bag of ice on her head.
Jia xin opened her eyes in the familiar room, but how did she get here she remembered falling asleep on the sofa at her apartment. How is she here in wangs' mansion, she sat up and straightened her back; she didn't Feel the harsh headache anymore.
"Did xi yi bring me back?" Jia xin asked her self when suddenly the door opened and xi yi walked in
" how do you feel " xi yi asked in a soft tone, though he was hurt about the fact that she didn't tell him she was sick and rather she returned to her apartment he still was glad that she was okay.
" Am fine now, did you bring me back" Jia xin asked calmly
" Jia xin why did you hide it from me"
Jia xin tensed up, she thought maybe he already found out about her illnesses
" I am sor...sorry i didn't want to worry you"
" how do you expect me to feel if you don't tell me about you morning sickness but just run away every time" xi yi said calmly as he sat beside her
" morning sickness?" Jia xin was surprised
" yes Rong zhi said you had morning sickness, it's common among pregnant women"
*ho that's right without a cranium ct scan no one will ever find out* Jia xin thought to her self and suddenly had the urge to laugh at her naivety.
" that's right i had morning sickness, i am so sorry if i made you worried.. no i mean for not telling you about my morning sickness" Jia xin pressed her lips together trying not to laugh at how morning sickness was being slandered* oh poor innocent morning sickness ended up taking the blame*
Xi yi could see she was holding back her smile, he didn't know if he should laugh or cry. This little wife of his was just too innocent. She was asleep for hours
" you can stop holding in your laughter and let it out then tell me exactly why you are so happy about morning sickness" xi yi asked curiously. Before he knew what was happening Jia xin began to laugh uncontrollably, xi yi didn't bother to interrupt her so he folded his arms and sat on the sofa directly opposite her. Few minutes later she finally stopped laughing,
* what should i tell xi yi i was laughing about..... got it.* she thought to her self
" ok fine i was laughing because i never imagined that i would have morning sickness, i mean it's still a little strange and very amusing" Jia xin blurted after thinking for a while.
Xi yi stood up from the sofa and instead sat beside her on the bed.
" if you ever feel sick or troubled, you have to tell me okay?, it's my responsibility to take care of both you and the baby so you don't have to think about strange things"xi yi said seriously as he fixed his eyes on her
"Okay...." Jia xin said shyly her full cheeks were already crimson red
" wang xi yi... i am hungry i need to go downstairs" Jia xin stood up immediately and ran downstairs, xi yi giggles softly after Jia xin ran out with a crimson red face.
Grandma was so glad to see Jia xin back on her feet, she rushed to her and helped her seat down
" grandma you don't have to i am feeling stronger than ever" Jia xin boasted playfully
" I was so worried when xi yi carried you back, you were so pale" grandma said as she placed food on Jia xin's plate
" grandma, you might not know this but i am stronger than even Superman" Jia xin whispers.
Grandma could not help but laugh out loud, xi yi who just climbed down the stairs and saw both his grandma and his wife giggling
" xi yi are you going to the office now" grandma asked
" yes there is still a lot of things i have to take care of" xi yi answered starring at Jia xin who was stuffing rice in her mouth while avoiding eye contact with him
" why don't you eat lunch first, right Jia xin?"grandma suggested
* why did grandma have to ask me, i am still so embarrassed after hearing he carried me in his arms oh God have mercy on what am going to do now*jia xin thought to her self
*cough* *cough* Jia xin suddenly coughed as if she choked on the food
" here have some water" grandma gave her water to drink while xi yi walked behind her and was softly patting her back
" you should chew before swallowing, don't rush your food no one is going to take it from you" xi yi said while caressing her back.
* do you think i don't know how to chew you are distracting me so much, i wish i didn't have to pretend to choke on the food. Now he's so close..but why is my body reacting this way..... no, no,no i need to find a way to stop this madness that is going on with me, but wait i'm not crazy.." Jia xin was busy talking in her heart and didn't even notice that xi yi was starring straight at her
" Jia xin what are you thinking about" xi yi asked in a seductive voice his face was so close to her, when she broke out of her thoughts she was shocked to see xi yi' s face so close to hers she could even feel his breath. Jia xin eyes widened and her full cheeks turned pink immediately. When xi yi saw she was suddenly frozen he pulled away from her and pecks her forehead
" I will be back by dinner " with that he strode out of the house with a sly smile on his face.
Jia xin was continuously blinking her eyes until grandma tapped her with a smile on her face
" you both are so cute, you look good together" grandma giggles and continued eating.
Meanwhile mrs Chen just got of the plane and was so glad to see her son waiting for but her face dropped when she couldn't find her daughter. Jia cheng walked to his mother and gave her a big hug
" cheng cheng Why have you gotten so thin, I missed you my baby" mrs Chen could not help how happy she was to see her little son, he actually grew taller.
" i miss you too mommy, and you are looking gorgeous as ever" Jia cheng complimented his mother after they broke the hug
" long time no see uncle yun xi" Jia cheng waved at his mother's right hand man
" how have you been young master" yun xi asked
"I've been doing great. But mom chu min didn't come with you right?" Jia cheng looked around. Mrs Chen giggles at how naughty her little son was
" No, she didn't but that doesn't mean she's not coming. Now turn around let mommy see you"
" mommyeee" Jia cheng whined like a small child
" okay fine chu min is on a business trip i doubt if she found out, if she did she would be kicking your ass by now. Now tell me where is Jia xin"
" mom she would wait for you at home it's not safe for her to be out yet so both her and tang ning are waiting at home for you. Brother Dylan is also in the country" Jia cheng was quick to cover for Jia xin.
Jia xin who was busy relaxing in her room after lunch heard a knock at the door,
" who is it" she asked
" young miss, someone named tang ning is downstairs looking for you" the maid at the door replied
Jia xin jumped out of bed and ran downstairs immediately she opened the door, she saw tang ning pacing back and forth
"Ning, why are you here" Jia xin asked
" Jia xin come on we have to go, your mother is back" tang ning said anxiously
" WHAT!!, she's back so soon. Wait did my ancestor come with her?" Jia xin asked curiously
" No, but Jia cheng texted me saying he's already on his way home with your mother" tang ning replied
" that's good then as long as chu min is not coming else we are all doomed. Let's go now i really can't wait to see mommy" Jia xin was so excited
" Jia xin are you going somewhere," grandma who just climbed downstairs asked
" yes grandma, I'll see you later. My mother just arrived the country so i am going to pick her up" Jia xin answered hurried
" ok go on i see you are really happy, take care on your way okay"
" bye grandma" Jia xin said and rushed out of the house, tang ning started the car and zoomed off with Jia xin.
