Cloud smiled slightly before stepping out of the wall and seeing how the effect of [corruption] was affecting the monster, though at the same time he was confused because this effect was different from what he remembered, or perhaps, the corruption varied depending on the target, which was impressive because this would counteract the better effects.
"ROAR!" - the ice titan let out a mighty roar as he began to channel mana into the circling of his hands.
Cloud's expression changed when he saw this because he could feel how the magical power was starting to increase drastically. Without a second thought, he rushed at the monster as he passed by Shizuku and motioned for her to back off.
The black-haired girl was confused for a few seconds before nodding weakly and following the blonde's instructions.
Shea appeared at her friend's side and scooped her into her arms, only to run to where Yue and the others were, who quickly moved behind a huge pillar of ice nearby, though there was one thing that left them confused, and that was that Cloud didn't seem to have returned with them.
"Cloud!" - Shea exclaimed as she saw how the blond was still running where the monster was, even seeming to have put himself in a place to receive the beast's attack.
"What are you doing!" - Yue exclaimed in terror as he saw how the monster had finished channeling its mana and was ready to shoot him.
"Shit!" - Tio exclaimed as she looked at Cloud and then at her companions, struggling with between her thoughts of helping her beloved or keeping her traveling companions safe.
"What are you doing, Tio-san, go help him!" - Kaori exclaimed as she grabbed Tio by the shoulders, though it was too late, for a powerful pale light consumed the entire room.
The ice titan had recognised Cloud as a target, and had already finished its attack.
The blinding light quickly approached Cloud, who only gave a backward glance as he ignored the glares of the girls.
"Cloud!" - Yue and the others shouted as they watched in terror as the pale light surrounded the blond's body.
The girls gritted their teeth as tears ran down their eyes, though their expressions changed to one of confusion and surprise as they saw how something seemed to be happening in the area where Cloud had once been. They noticed how some sort of whirlpool seemed to be absorbing the icy lightning.
"The mana..." - Yue said in surprise as she watched everything slowly unfold.
Tio was silent, though her dropped jaw showed how surprised she was.
Shizuku and the others simply watched everything in silence because they honestly didn't know what was going on, at least until they noticed how Cloud's silhouette was once again visible - "Cloud!"
The blond had small burn wounds from the ice, though outside of that he didn't seem to have suffered any other damage, and those same wounds were recovering at great speed.
"Cloud, it seems to be absorbing the icy power of that beam..." - Yue said as she tried to figure out what was going on, I mean, she knew there were abilities that could absorb mana from other creatures, but this was ridiculous, it was like Cloud had a forge inside him that was burning and transmitting the absorbed mana to his entire body as it slowly adapted to his new icy properties.
Tio frowned because she knew about dragons that could consume the mana they controlled, but this was ridiculous, because even those dragons had a limit, but Cloud seemed to be a black hole that swallowed everything in its path.
A pale aura surrounded Cloud's body as he continued to absorb the lightning that was pure ice elemental mana, making it easier to consume.

"Maryū no Hōkō (Roar of the dragon of magic)!" - Cloud exclaimed as he released a powerful white lightning bolt from his mouth.
Yue and Tio's body began to tremble when they felt this, because that breath was not an elemental attack, but rather a concentration of mana in its purest state, which was technically impossible, because in order to be released out of the body, mana had to undergo a change in its structure, to the point where even [Non-Elemental] magic, was a magical application that had a predefined "element".
Cloud's hair began to float as his attack impacted head on with his opponent's, creating a huge tremor from the clash between the two lethal techniques.
Cloud could feel everything around him slowly begin to break apart as he concentrated his most powerful attack on a single point.
The ice titan let out a roar of fury as he felt his strength slowly disappear, this due to all the magic Cloud had absorbed from his attack.
Cloud continued with his magical attack, which slowly began to create a distortion in the room, all because the maze did not seem to be designed for something as specific as a pure mana application, though to the group's relief, they watched as their beloved's attack quickly began to put pressure on his opponent's, who retreated until he reached his target.
The ice titan let out a final roar before being surrounded by Cloud's magical breath, only to have its body explode into hundreds of pieces after a few seconds from the enormous magical pressure.
The girls let out a gasp of excitement as they watched Cloud fall to his knees on the ground breathing heavily, after all, his body was on edge from all the mana that was still inside him and hadn't been absorbed properly.
"Cloud!" - Kaori exclaimed as she released her wings and began to use her holy magic to heal the blond, only to notice how her magic was being ineffective - "Why!"
"Because I'm not hurt" - Cloud replied as he struggled to his feet before moving his face in another direction and doing something that surprised the girl, making the biggest burp she had ever heard, which was accompanied by a small magical lightning bolt - "Ugh..."
". . ." - Kaori fell silent as the others approached with different expressions.
"Did you eat the attack?" - Yue asked as she looked at the slightly swollen abdomen of the blond, who looked like he had overeaten.
"Yes, it's something typical of my species, I can eat magic, no matter the element and I transformed it into my own mana" - answered Cloud while shaking his head - "As for whether I can assimilate the element, that depends on what it is that I devoured, for example, if it's a normal magical attack, I get the element for a while for a short time".
