Chapter 830 - Chapter 809 [ Great Schnee Maze - XXVI ]

Cloud nodded slightly when he heard this as he thought slowly analysed his situation, after all, he felt different, and at the same time he felt no change in his person.

The blond shook his head before checking his body and detecting no differences, so he quickly looked around to see if he could find a way out of this strange room, until he saw a path open up.

Without a second thought, he walked down the corridor, still confused by the changes in his mentality.

What he didn't know was that the labyrinth should not have served as a "connection" between him and his hidden self, which meant that someone had intervened in his ordeal in a positive way.

* * * * *

"I didn't expect them to arrive so quickly," Yue said as she looked at the people standing next to her in the central room.

"Ditto, though I suppose this is because we had already accepted the darkness in our hearts as well as the hostility against each other" - Tio replied as she crossed her legs.

"True, my copy was easy to defeat after ignoring everything she said" - replied Shea while eating some carrot cake. It was stereotypical, but she had to admit it was delicious - "What surprises me, is that Cloud wasn't the first to arrive."

"Now that you mention it, it feels a bit strange too" - said Shizuku with a frown as she looked around - "Can someone enlighten the way for the others?"

"I'm sorry, I'm confused too" - replied Kaori while shaking her head - "Maybe their test was different?"

"I don't think so, because if so, at least one of us would have had a different test than the rest, but that wasn't the case" - Yue replied as she frowned - "Which means something has to have happened, or maybe, we're overthinking it, and maybe Cloud hadn't accepted his darkness, but rather had fought against it during our first encounter against that thing"

"Makes sense, I mean, Cloud didn't seem agitated after hearing that monster talk to him" - Tio muttered as she started to think - "I guess we'll just have to wait, on the bright side, our rings have enough supplies to set up camp while we wait, however, there's something that has me worried"

"Remia-san" - Kaori replied with concern - "She failed to come to terms with her darkness, but rather let it take over her thoughts."

"That's what's worrying, no one denies the possibility of that happening again, and since there will be no one to help her..." - Tio said while biting her lip - "I don't want to think about how Cloud or Myu-chan will react to receiving this news..."

"We can only pray that's not the case," sighed Shizuku as she pulled out a few branches so she could light a fire, "We have to trust her."

The girls looked at each other, though their expressions changed when they saw how a new passageway would open up behind them.

They quickly stood up and put on their guard, only to watch with relief as a familiar female silhouette appeared in front of them.

"What is it?" - Remia asked in surprise. She appeared to be in perfect condition, but the girls could see how her eyes were red, possibly from crying so much.

"Are you okay?" - Kaori asked with concern as she checked her condition and didn't notice any damage.

Remia was silent for a few seconds before she began to sob.

The girls were surprised by this, though they quickly ran to the Dagon woman to comfort her.

"I'm sorry..." - Remia murmured as she bit her lip - "I'm sorry for worrying you."

Yes, she had discovered the truth of what had happened before she lost consciousness, thus the reason for the wound on her chest. She couldn't believe that monster had managed to get inside her head enough to make her kill herself.

"Are you alright?" - Kaori asked again as she watched the woman nod.

"Yes, I made it through the ordeal with great difficulty," Remia replied as she explained what had happened.

The women stood in silence as they listened to Remia begin her story.

After arriving in the room with the huge pillar of ice, Remia saw a copy of herself, something the others had also experienced. This copy told her everything she feared, as well as the truth of her suicide attempt, which shocked her greatly, but at the same time also made her understand some things, especially the attitude of her beloved.

Remia almost broke down when she heard how stupid she had been, although she quickly regained her composure, after all, this time she was not being directly affected, which made it much easier to solve the problem.

After a long battle, she managed to emerge victorious, albeit very exhausted, so after making sure there would be no further danger, she made the decision to take a short break before walking down the corridor, after all, she didn't know if there would be another danger as she went along.

The women were embarrassed when they heard this because they had not thought of this possibility, although this was not due to negligence, but to their confidence in themselves and their abilities.

"Ahem! We'd better change the subject, after all, the important thing is that you're safe and well" - Kaori said as she hugged Remia, who simply nodded.

"Where's Cloud?" - Remia asked worriedly as she noticed that her beloved was nowhere to be found.

"Honestly, we don't know, but it's possible that their test is harder than ours," Yue answered honestly, though she was also a little worried, not because she didn't trust Cloud, but because she didn't know what kind of enemy her beloved would have to face, or rather, what kind of power base he would have.

Remia began to worry when she heard this, though her expression, like the others, changed when they heard the sound of another passage opening up behind them.

The girls quickly looked back as they heard the sound of approaching footsteps. They quickly stood on guard, though their muscles tensed when they saw a familiar face, though they sensed there was something different about it, so they kept their guard up.

Cloud walked in the direction of the group without a word, only to raise an eyebrow when he noticed how it looked like the girls were going to attack him - "What's going on?"

"Who are you?" - Yue asked seriously.

Cloud looked at the vampire girl in confusion, after all, he hadn't expected the first questions she would say to him to be "Who are you?"

"I'm Cloud?" - Cloud replied as he frowned - "Do I not look like myself?"

The girls looked at each other, still confused because they could sense that the blond wasn't lying, but at the same time he didn't seem to be the same Cloud they remembered. Physically, he hadn't changed, but inside they could feel the change in the blond, though they couldn't put their finger on why.

Cloud frowned even more as he began to think about how the change that had happened was much more apparent than he thought.

"Could you tell us what happened to you?" - Tio asked as she looked carefully at the blond - "Then at least we can understand things better."

Cloud was silent for a few seconds before asking the system if he could.

The system responded with an [Ok], as long as he didn't reveal important information.

Cloud quickly began to explain the situation as best he could.

About how he had left his emotions behind, which is why he couldn't express them properly, as well as many things about his past, though obviously leaving out the fact that he used to be human and the system. He revealed everything that was inside his head, leaving nothing out, which surprised the women because they didn't expect something like that to have happened, although it also explained some things that had them confused, such as the fact that Cloud wasn't very active in romantic matters.

Cloud simply scratched his cheeks as he watched the girls converse with each other, though a part of him was starting to get embarrassed, which showed that his more human attitude was slowly returning.

"So... You'll be more expressive now?" - Shea asked curiously as she got dangerously close to the blond boy's face.

"Yes, though I'm having a hard time adjusting to these emotions," Cloud replied as he moved the rabbit girl's face out of his personal space, not because he found her hideous, but because it was a bit embarrassing. Yes, he was starting to feel a little embarrassed, though this was because he was once again showing his emotions. The moment he could adapt well, this kind of situation would not happen again, although he was currently vulnerable against this kind of "attack".

The girls found this cute, so they thought of multiple ways to "annoy" the blond, who quickly began to lose his cool after a few minutes, so they decided it was best not to overstep a certain limit.
