Chapter 5 - 5

Anos sighed deeply, his crimson eyes betraying a mixture of frustration and sadness as he stood face to face with Adalm Neckron. The classroom buzzed with whispered speculation as students exchanged glances, sensing the gravity of the moment.

"It's not your fault, Adalm," Anos said solemnly, his voice carrying a weight of ancient memories. "Someone has meddled with our history, erased the truth of who we are, and hidden the real name of the Demon King."

Adalm's expression darkened with realization. "The memory alteration... it runs deep, beyond what I imagined."

Anos nodded, his mind racing through the echoes of millennia past. "It's a conspiracy that has plagued us for ages. The true history of our people, our powers, our very identities—erased and rewritten."

Sasha, who had been listening intently, stepped forward hesitantly. "Anos-sama, could this be related to the weakening of our clan's magic? The anomalies we've been experiencing..."

Anos glanced at Sasha, his gaze softening momentarily. "Yes, Sasha. The very fabric of our magic, the fusion that defines us as the Neckron family, is fraying because of these lies."

Adalm Neckron bowed his head in shame. "I failed to protect our legacy, Anos-sama."

Anos placed a reassuring hand on Adalm's shoulder. "No, Adalm. You have been deceived as well. But now, we must uncover the truth, restore our memories, and reclaim our rightful place."

As they spoke, the classroom doors burst open, revealing a figure clad in shadows. The air crackled with tension as the intruder stepped forward.

"I see you've uncovered a fragment of the truth," a voice echoed through the room. Anos recognized it instantly—the Dark Apostle, a key figure in the web of deception.

Anos narrowed his eyes. "You're behind this, aren't you?"

The Dark Apostle chuckled softly. "You underestimate the forces at play, Anos Voldigoad. But you are right about one thing—your true name, your true power, lies buried beneath layers of falsehood. Embrace it, and you will understand."

Before anyone could react, the Dark Apostle vanished, leaving behind a chilling silence.

Anos clenched his fists, determination hardening his resolve. "We will not be puppets of lies any longer. Adalm, Sasha—gather our kin. We embark on a journey to reclaim our history, restore our memories, and reveal the true name of the Demon King."

Adalm and Sasha nodded in unison, their hearts resonating with Anos's unwavering resolve. The students around them looked on, sensing the dawn of a new era—a quest for truth and identity that would shake the foundations of their world.

And thus, with the memory of their shared past guiding them, Anos Voldigoad, Adalm Neckron, and the Neckron family set forth on a journey that would defy fate itself, to uncover the lost secrets and reclaim their rightful destiny.
