The Achebe were the family who align with the vampires to an ambush against Irepo who was aware of the plan but was too overconfident to know when he outmatched.the witches and vampires though lost a significant number of people were able to subdue Irepo and keep angel in a magical cage but were unable to kill irepo. the head of the witches in the achebe family then suggested that all the witches should link to him but omolewa was able to corrupt the magic being used with black crafts and then took their magic while the family spirits was transfer to the place of the battle when the whole family through spirit projection saw irepo in pain.
