The man caught a glimpse of a figure as he fell, and then darkness enveloped his vision.
Yun Bing paid no mind to the blood on her forehead. She crouched down and removed the masked man's hood, revealing the face of a man in his thirties. She pulled a toothpick from his forehead; he was no longer breathing.
This wasn't the first time this had happened. After the initial shock, Yun Bing quickly composed herself, her face filled with gratitude.
"Thank you for that. If it weren't for you... I would have..."
Yun Bing didn't finish her sentence, but her meaning was clear. If it weren't for Xia Liang today, she likely would have died.
"It was nothing. Just treat me to a meal next time."
Xia Liang didn't show much of a reaction, simply waving his hand nonchalantly.
Yun Bing was not one to be coy.
"Then it's a deal. I'll call for backup."
With that, she dialed the security department. Before long, an ambulance and security personnel arrived.
