Prologue

In the year 2035, the world government devised an experimental program for the next generation. They believed you could gain supernatural abilities by modifying brain functions or the stem cells of a child's body. It was years before even a single experiment was successful. Leaving thousands dead or traumatized.

After the success, the government paid families thousands of dollars per child put into a program. Many died, though some lived, their lives were forever changed, many developing severe PTSD from the memories of the experiments.

The chances of it working were close to 1 in 1000. Causing many families gave birth to dozens of children, just for a paycheck from the government.

But in the year 2045, 10 years after the first experiments, the government passed a new law forcing every child the age of 15 to take an examination, which would test their compatibility with the experiments.

This single test determined where your place in society was. Say you scored a 500/6000 being practically the lowest score feasible, you'd have access to very little government support, you wouldn't be able to get a job, or even access most public stores. But if you scored higher, anything over 3000/6000 you'd practically be a millionaire, though the numbers aren't released, probably not even one percent reach that. No matter your score, you could still choose to undergo the experiments if you were desperate enough. If you managed to score anything over 4000/6000 the experiment would be mandatory.

Now that you got the gist of the whole situation, let's get into my story, heh just a warning my life is a bit dark at the beginning of the story.

But I mean hey, it gets better...

eventually...

maybe...

I hope...
