Meng Yunzheng was inside the first cage at the entrance. The cage held an injured tiger, but by now the tiger had already breathed its last, its body completely concealing Meng Yunzheng.

He held several chains in his hand, nonchalantly securing and locking the main gate.
The main gate differed from the other doors; it was an iron door, likely designed to prevent beasts from escaping and causing accidents, hence it was heavy and sturdy.
Meng Yunzheng wrapped several layers of chains around it. Unless Steward Guo had a dagger or sword capable of slicing through iron like mud, the lock wouldn't be opened any time soon.
