While Lex was undergoing his tribulation, Marlo was sitting before a massive table of food, much of it already devoured and much of it waiting for his personal attention, yet the muscle giant was not eating. Instead, he was looking oddly at the lady in front of him.
"Can I help you?" Marlo asked, not commenting on the oddness of the situation. In truth, they were in a war zone, so the fact that he was sitting and eating a feast was already abnormal.
But, as an abnormal man, with a son just as abnormal, and students who would quite possibly be the protagonists of many animes in the future, it was alright if he paused between the slaughter of war to feast. Of course, he was the only Nascent soul cultivator who had the guts to enter an all Earth Immortal battlefield, but then again, he was strong enough to do so, so no one stopped him.
