The hours passed by in a blur to Pierre. He was originally doing very well in the Midnight Inn. He had a senior position right from the start, as well as respect and authority. Though his cultivation level was low, it would be only a matter of time before that rose. His future was supposed to be sunshine and rainbows.
In fact, it was because he was so competent and well accomplished that he felt like it was his duty to look after Brenda. Unfortunately, trying to contain Brenda was like trying to trap a typhoon in a glass bottle - a work of fiction!
