Percy felt numb. His life hadn't been that great to begin with, to be honest. He was an orphan, living alone, ostracised wherever he went. Then one day, out of the blue, someone accused him of stealing lightning - whatever that meant. Well, actually he found out that lightning was the name of someone's cat that ran away and just happened to be seen near his house.
So a bunch of guys came over to beat up Percy. When he started to run, he accidentally fell through a mysterious golden door that appeared out of thin air. Thus, he came to the Midnight Inn.
This place was kind of awesome - especially since he had a week long free stay since he was a Pro bono guest. During that free time, he learned about cultivation and how it made people stronger. Suddenly, the idea of revenge and vengeance sprouted in his mind, taking hold of his thoughts.
