Joy Sutton heard the proposal, and she instantly snapped awake, never expecting such words to come out of her mother Sharon Warren's mouth.
She felt completely overwhelmed, recalling the night she spent with Mr. Hughes, a shiver ran down her spine, and she felt nauseous.
She hastily refused.
"I don't want this, Mom, I don't want to be with Mr. Hughes."
Sharon Warren didn't think that the usually obedient Joy Sutton would resist her like this at that moment, and she felt somewhat angry.
"Joy, are you listening to your mom or not anymore?"
Joy Sutton sensed the pressure in Sharon Warren's tone, and there was a snapping sound in her mind as if a string had broken, she lost her composure and shouted loudly.
"Mom, if you do this, you're pushing me off a cliff. This time I won't listen to you! I absolutely don't want to be with that filthy pig!"
After saying that, she hung up the phone without waiting for Sharon Warren's reply.
