Chapter 6 - Insane Boy Plans

[A/N: Below is a really long author's note. It is compulsory to read it. No, I am not gonna put a disclaimer on where it ends. Yes, I really don't care if it ruins the immersion{Immerse my dick in your mouth}. No, I don't really care if it offends anyone. Do I care if my reader leave me? Hahahahaha what readers?]

[A/N: Yeah so a bit of context. I was busy irl and generally am then I remembered how I have a failure waiting here. So I went and took a long walk as I was going through the corridor, I met one of my good friends. He didn't hug me all excitedly like before. This made me sad. Then after a *sob* casual greeting he asked me if I had a lighter. I was in awe at this man's audacity as I witnessed a hostel faculty? {I don't remember the specific term (too lazy to search)} showing a couple of parents around. It was then that my heart took a hike as the group just ignored past us. And my friend just looked at me quizzically while a door opened and I saw a few other guys some of whom I knew look at me in inquiry.

It was then I realized, I must put a stop to this. This is unacceptable, I need to do something. So I gave him a hostel room number where he could find a few matchsticks and went on my walk of self-discovery. I realized I must stop procrastinating. I need to be more forward. So I came back and was in another episode of shock as I realized how great of an author I was. In street cretin word "This writing be fire! Yo!" {I am still thinking of putting an 'ayo' there.}

As I came to accept my own genius I got a call. I was again in shock. It was a tragedy! Tears streamed down my eyes! It seemed that the lab I thought was cancelled due to a seminar was still happening! {How could they do this!!?} Then I realized, my friend who used to hug me everytime he met me. He was high everytime he hugged me! That mf! So with a determined gaze I sat down and thought. "Wtf was I gonna write again?"

Then I remembered what the original plotline was and I was disgusted with myself. You see The kind of novels I like are the ones with weak to strong mechanics. The ones in which the mc really has to struggle and he doesn't get some bs power due to some bs reason. That was what made me like RI after all. The peak creativity in the first volume brought me to orgasm as I was in ecstasy at every twist and turn {that came out wrong…}

So men and G.I.R.L.S. I apologize to you all for this failure of mine. I will do better. Things can still be salvaged. What? You thought I was gonna say "I am gonna write a rewrite now… Sorry for what I just wrote." Hilarious. The only kind of vile concoction which goes ahead and rewrites a fic a fucking fanfic or even a shitty novel is the ignorant who didn't ever research or think and just wrote from some popular troupes he read.

Besides, if I was gonna do a rewrite all you fools would see is a new novel by the same name with the same or more or less number of chapters while the original novel is MIA.]

[A/N: Wtf how did I manage to write 5 chapters?! I am genuinely in shock this time.]

[A/N: How did I manage to write an entire docs page for an author's note? If only this power got triggered every time I make an assignment.]

After bemoaning about the quick and sudden death of his strict but warm-hearted master. Yi Yun stood up and flipped the old pack of bones up.

'Hmm, I am a doctor…'

He joked as he hummed and dissected his master's stomach. Looking inside, he saw 4 Gu worms within. 1 was clearly dead while the other 3 were alive. Looking at this display of wealth. Yi Yun gazed at the peaceful expression of a face of his master. 'Who knew a dumbass who died so early was so rich?'

Apprehensively pocketing the 4 Gu Worms, he made his way to the hidden base of his now-dead master. With a light heart and a flicker in his step, he skipped his way till the tree. Climbing it he was met with the interiors of the tree house.

'I need to make sure that Fang Yuan never reaches this place, or any other of these hidden tree houses again. As of this moment, they are now my inheritances from my gracious master Wang Da.'

Finding no traps within the tree house, Yi Yun then went back down. He still had to take care of what happened below. As he made his way towards his master's corpse, 'Dismantling time…', Yi Yun cheerfully thought.

A couple hours later, Yi Yun returned to the treehouse covered in sweat from head to toe.

'Sign… Who knew taking care of a couple of corpses was so strenuous? Ahh, I could go for a long hot bath…' Yi Yun lamentfully signed. Only to irritably mutter, "Damn this fake world. Bunch of NPCs in some fanfic, or an extra novel. Oh, how I yearn to return to the real world. The world where I can experience all of modern time's luxuries"

'Anyways, I need to think more about the present now. I am in a new world. I have accepted that fact. After all the only thing I can do is end the fanfiction, or change its genre. Okay, I really need to focus here.'

Thinking so, Yi Yun looked for a piece of paper to help with his planning. Looking around, he noticed how the treehouse was arranged in a very minimalistic way. There was a desk on the right side, along with a couple of shelves housing many different materials. Probably Gu materials. On the left side was a hammock tied between the window and a branch. Next to the window was a bunch of shelves full of books. To the left and right of the entrance were crates and barrels full of food, water, and other miscellaneous items. Approaching the desk, Yi Yun placed a book on it. He found it in the robes of his now-dead master. It was stained with blood, but it still seemed readable.

Signing gently, he sat on the desk and began to read his dead master's diary. For the next few hours, the treehouse was full of the sound of pages turning and gentle breathing. Anyone looking at this scene would think that this was simply a very studious young scholar.

*thump* Came the sound from the diary as Yi Yun closed it in annoyance.

"What a shitty story.", He remarked in annoyance.

'So to sum it up, Wang Da was a generic mortal in a cultivation world. He was born as a hunter and in medieval times fashion got married at the early age of 14. One day he had a lucky encounter while chasing a deer into a waterfall. Yes, the Gu Master hid his inheritance behind a waterfall. How predictable. Anyways, in true cultivation novel fashion. First he was scared, then he became ecstatic. And had thoughts like, "This is a chance to turn it all around" and he was absolutely right. The guy was a demonic Gu Master before death. His name was 'Wretched Assassin' Yes the masochist called himself wretched.' Thinking so far Yi Yun could only shake his head in disapproval.

He leaned back on his chair and began rocking it back and forth, 'Coincidently, today was the day when Wang Da cleared all 4 trials of this rank 4 inheritance. It was set up in a rush. It was a dark path inheritance. There were a total of 6 Gu Worms he inherited. Well he could inherit 8 but he failed the last trial and barely escaped with his life. The core Gu worm was Love Life Separation Gu which could be refined to rank 4. It was also old Wang Da's vital gu.' He slightly glanced at a jar in which the dead corpse of a Gu worm was stored.

'Anyways when he came back he met me and I inherited his wealth of 6 gu worms. 2 of whom he kept here. They were partially refined after all. The Gu worms he got from the inheritance are: Love Life Separation Gu now deceased, the Shadow Follower Gu, the Overlapping Shadow Gu, the Split Shadow Gu as for the 2 he kept here, they are: the Limit Aura Gu and the East Window Gu. As for why a Dark Path Gu Master had a Poison Path Gu worm as a vital Gu.. well the rank 4 version of this Gu worm is a dark path gu called, Past Shadows Gu. And all these Gu worms except one are of rank 2. Just great.'

Lets move to the effect of these gu worms. The Love Life Separation is a poison secreted by the nails which can also be elongated.

The Shadow Follower Gu enables one to be enveloped in lump of darkness, that can be used to have a great camouflage effect in shadows and other dark areas. Once the darkness was dispelled by the light, the Rank two Shadow Follower Gu needed to rest three hours before it could be used again.

The Overlapping Shadow Gu can amplify the ability of other Dark Path Gu. Its drawback is that everything about the Gu worm is amplified not just the ability. Also, it only works on Dark Path Gu and can only amplify a Gu worm at or below its Rank, not to mention, after amplification, there is a chance that the Gu worm would need to be fed more or the amplified Gu worm might get injured.

Then there is the Split Shadow Gu which allows the user to create a copy of themselves. At Rank 1 it can create a shadowy blur of the same shape as the user. This blur cannot move and is always stationary. It lasts for 5 minutes. At Rank 2, 2 blurs can be created they look a little like the user they are stationary as well but last for a total of 10 minutes.

The Limit Aura Gu enables one to not reveal the aura of any one Gu while it is being used. The Gu can be of any path, but it only works on Gu worms that are of the same rank as itself. Not even a rank below Gu worm's aura is concealed.

The East Window Gu is an Information Path Gu which upon use, grants its user knowledge of anything stored within it. This is the only Rank 1 Gu worm. It is a one time use Gu worm and most probably contains information regarding Gu recipes and other cultivation-related information.

'Apart from this, there are plenty of Gu materials here to feed the Gu worms for a few months, along with rations to survive a year. I also found out the location of this inheritance and can go there and try to clear the final round. There are also a few primeval stones here.'

'Let's see… What to do? I obviously can't refine all these Gu worms, and even if I could they are useless to me. I am still at the Rank 1 initial stage. Even if I could refine and use them, I don't know what Extreme Physique I possess. I don't want to commit to a path and then look for a way to change the vital Gu. Hmm… Well, I think I could refine 1 Gu worm in the remaining time I have left; it's obvious that I am gonna refine the East Window Gu. It is a one time use Gu worm. After using it, it's gone. Then there is also what to tell the Clan Head.'

'Maybe some information from the East Window Gu could help me? Let's just lay a framework for what to tell him. I need to obviously tell him that I payed respects to the old zombie. Then I can make it such that the zombie appreciated me and asked the head to keep me safe. I can also reveal that the zombie is a zombie to the Clan Head and that he needs my help. I have read a lot of novels so I think I can think up a creative bullshit resurrection method. Or I can just tell a resurrection method from the novel there were 2 confirmed ones, I think: the Blazing Heaven Demoness's one and the Strength Reversing Life and Death one courtesy of Fang Yuan. Or I could say that since he is a mortal he is trying to ascend to immortal? Nah, I'll just have to bullshit. The bottom line is that I need to convince the Clan Head to nurture me with all the clan resources. That means letting me use the fucking Relic Gu. At least till the peak of Rank 2. I am not going to go through each stage step by step. No, I do not care if I explode. I'll just become a zombie then. The clan must have a Rank 3 Transformation Path Gu that is of the Zombie type. But then again, that isn't a permanent solution. But it is better than dying early.'

'That is more like the ending solution. I need a better solution to not go boom boom. Only a Central Continent's sect can help me in this too. After all, joining a clan as an external member is like becoming a second-rate citizen. But I can't eliminate that option as well. As for taking advantage of the plot and information from the novel. I don't possess the luxury to think about those right now. I'll plan out a future after I join the academy for training.'

What is the reason why there are so many A Grade Aptitudes but so few Immortals? The Immortal Tribulation isn't some level-up or Rank-up quest. It's a fatal phenomenon. But even before that, most geniuses' die young. Envy, jealousy, robbing, beasts, assassinations all of these can lead to the end of a genius. And they all can be solved with just one method- Power. Sure speeding through the ranks means that you might miss something that you were supposed to learn or experience in the earlier stages, but so what? Just soul search a guy who went through everything step by step. I don't believe that at Rank 5 it would be so difficult to execute.

Thinking such Yi Yun, made up his mind and proceeded towards a book that detailed on how one can sense their aperture and use their primeval essence.

"Sign…It's gonna be a long night." Signed Yi Yun as he began the arduous task of learning to use primeval essence.
