Knock, knock knock!
Someone was knocking on the door outside. Nancy quickly went to open the door, and as soon as it opened, she saw Norman Bennett.
"Uh... please come in." She awkwardly stepped aside to make way. With Elliana gone, she felt as if she was harboring a "criminal."
And Norman Bennett was here to catch the "criminal."
Since returning to the country, it was the first time she saw Norman Bennett. Just as calm as always, when she first met Elliana, she thought he was some sort of elder like Elliana's uncle.
Even though he looked young, handsome, with an air of aloof elegance, he was the best-looking man she had seen in her life so far, yet it always felt like there was a maturity beyond his years.
She wondered if it was just her illusion.
If Elliana married this man, she would be at ease. A slightly scatterbrained girl like Elliana marrying someone who can take care of her is a good thing too.
"Where is Elliana?"
Norman Bennett's voice came through.
