Chapter 1 - Eradication

My soul itself will never forget the day my whole family human and beast alike where slaughtered, it will never forget the screams the smell and sight of my murdered kin. Some burnt black yet still smouldering in the cold air their bodies piled above my head. Others outside remnants of houses gunned down as they tried to flee, fear still lingered on now pale faces many next to the animals who also died near their owners. That day my soul shattered as I screamed till I was hoarse and coughed up blood, tears froze against my cheeks but I felt no cold except the despair deep in my mind as It also broke before I passed out gladly meeting the darkness that invaded my being.

So.....Context I need to give you some context as to why my family was slaughtered. Short version my family are 'trainers' of animals, which doesn't seem threatening enough to have a whole clan Slaughtered. Let me tell you this 'trainer' or 'tamer' does not encompass what we truly are. Have you heard of or watched the tales of Tarzan or Mowgli?? These are the closest way to understand the truth of my family's ability and reason for our destruction. For those of you who do not know I will give you a quick run down. Tarzan and Mowgli were raised by animals after the death of their parents, Tarzan was found and raised by Gorillas, Mowgli by wolves because of this they gained the ability to understand animals enough to talk the 'language' of animals and in turn ask them to do certain things.

Well what of I said that was innate within all my family though many held stronger connections to only one or two species we all could 'talk' to animals ALL animals. We went further and connected to them through bonding, where we shared a mental, emotional and physical link. We gained strength, speed, agility, sight, sense, smell, hearing even taste improvement depending on our strongest bonded animals, the animals gained intelligence and rationality hence why many of my family only could bond fully with two or three, the mental and physical toll was to much for both sides so we only bonded with the species that we held stronger connection with.
