Chapter 267 - Ok Big Guy With Big Fists, We Comply!

The primary issue that rendered modern human firepower useless against the apocalypse was the lack of energy penetration. A bullet or a missile relied on chemical powder for propulsion and explosion.

That was fine for fighting other humans, but against the magically reinforced hides of monsters, these projectiles were just useless bits of flying metal. They couldn't penetrate armour or even scratch the thick, mana-infused skins of high-tier enemies.

But what if I swapped the warheads for these? If I used these cores instead of trying to build a complicated mechanism to draw energy from the user's own stats, wouldn't that solve at least half the problems we faced in making human technology relevant again?

Thinking about it made my blood boil with anticipation. I grew incredibly impatient, wanting to fly straight to the MIT campus and hand these over to my researchers to test the theory immediately. However, I still had a city to secure and a harvest to complete.
