The male dispatcher looked at Lin Yi, completely bewildered.
"You're so young. Why do you dream of something undesirable, like driving a big truck? Young man, this won't do."
"I'm young anyway, so it's not a big deal."
"This isn't up to me to decide; I only manage the scheduling here at the freight yard."
While speaking, the male dispatcher pulled Lin Yi aside and pointed to the first floor of the large office, indicating a few lit windows:
"109, that's the dispatch room. For specifics, you should talk to them, but I doubt they'll agree."
"Why not?"
"Because you lack experience," the male dispatcher said:
"Urban routes and long-distance driving are two completely different things. It's not something you can just do at will; there are risks involved. You're one of us, so you should know these things."
"I understand," Lin Yi said with a smile, "I'll go take a look first."
"Alright, go ahead."
