While the one inside the sphere of chains was screaming due to pain, Daimon first and formal surfaced to take a breath, in his way upwards, he purposedly touched the pitch-black water with his left hand to see if it had any negative impact on the participants.
But the moment his skin made contact with the black water, an almost unnoticeable silver glow blocked it from being absorbed by Daimon's hand.
"Hoh, that's interesting, the lineage energy is blocking it by itself, but at the same time it's being consumed, so this black water can indeed cause troubles to participants", said Daimon as he took a deep breath to then dive into the lake again.
At this point the scream coming from the sphere of chains had stopped, but the one inside was obviously not dead, since steam was still coming from the chains, it probably just lost consciousness.
