Jade was still trying to squeeze herself back into her uniform jacket when Zeph stepped out of the back of the limousine to greet Brandon and Selena on the section of the tarmac reserved for non-commercial aircraft officially, and unofficially for the usage of those wealthy or powerful enough to fly privately and to accommodate official government aircraft up to a certain size.
"Hay, where is your long-earned shadow? Mother said to ensure that you didn't ditch her and run after some local government office lady in the name of diplomatic relations and coffee."
"Pfft!"
Zeph's mostly false diplomat-worthy exterior cracked. The words came from Selena's mouth, but they sounded like they should have a more masculine tone to them. He could only guess that Brandon was a bad influence on her mouth, as it definitely wasn't something she would ever say in a remotely public place.
