Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: We Met again

Author POV

At Y/N's Room

Disa: Why… are you crazy? Where were you? You don't know how many times I called you, but no—you didn't even pick up! (furious)

Lio: Calm down, Disa. She's already scared and disturbed.

Liaa: What happened, Y/N? Are you okay? Is everything alright?

Y/N explained everything to them.

Lio: Calm down. Everything's fine now. We're here. Go freshen up and get some rest. We'll talk tomorrow.

Y/N changed, freshened up, and went to sleep. Disa, Lio, and Liaa quietly packed her bag, including the book she brought from the library.

Just as they were about to go to bed, Disa spoke.

Disa: He kissed her. I can't believe he's playing a game with her...

Lio: We shouldn't let her be alone with him. That was a mistake.

Liaa: Yeah, we have to protect her from him. I didn't think he was this bad.

Disa: What does he even want from her? First, he meets her at the café, and now this? This mess is getting out of hand... (sighs) Let's sleep. We've only got three hours left. This day has been way too long.

Lio: Good night 💤

Next Day – At the Airport

Y/N: Thank you so much. I would've been so late otherwise.

Liaa: This is the seventh time. How many more times are you going to thank us?

Y/N: (giggles)

All Teachers: Come on, students. Let's get inside quickly.

Principal: Are you all ready, students?

All Students: Yes, sir!

Principal: Let's go then.

Inside the Plane

Disa: Look, I got my seat!

Liaa: This one's mine.

Lio: Got mine too.

Disa: Where's your seat, Y/N?

Y/N: Oh, there it is—at the back.

Lio: Alright then, let's sit. Happy journey!

Disa: Happy journey!

Y/N: Oh God, we're in the same plane—not different countries.

Liaa: You don't know how amazing the vibe is today. Everything feels amazing!

Y/N: Yeah yeah, especially with our black alien.

Disa: Yahhhh just kill me now...

Liaa, Lio, and Y/N: (laughing)

Y/N's POV

Y/N: Excuse me, Mr., this is my seat.

???: Ohh, yeah sure...

His voice sounded familiar. He wore a black mask, black goggles, a black cap, and all-black clothes. Until today, I thought Disa was the one obsessed with black—but this guy? He looked even more obsessed.

"We meet again."

As soon as I heard his voice, my heart stopped. My heartbeat sped up 10x. Now I knew exactly who he was. But I couldn't believe how fast he found me. Not only was his identity powerful, but he moved fast—too fast.

Mr. V: Why do you always go silent when I talk to you?

Y/N: How do you know I'm here? What are you doing here?

Mr. V: Oh honey, did you forget? I'm a mafia. I have my own ways. And the college you're studying in? It's mine. I get all the information I need.

Air Hostess: Ma'am, please take your seat. It's time for takeoff.

Y/N: Oh, I'm sorry.

Air Hostess: Ma'am, your seatbelt—

Mr. V: You can go. I'll take care of it.

Air Hostess: But sir—

Mr. V: I don't like repeating myself.

Air Hostess: I'm sorry, sir...

She left. I had no choice but to sit next to him. He leaned over and fastened my seatbelt himself.

Mr. V: If you're scared, you can hold my hand. (smirking)

Y/N: I'm not scared, thank you.

His smirk widened. I looked at him, confused.

Mr. V: By the way, I was thinking about you all night. Couldn't sleep well. Now I need to rest—so don't disturb me.

Before I could react, he placed his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes. I froze. My mind was spinning. And my inner voice whispered—he's more powerful than he looks. I didn't want to awaken the monster inside him. I stayed quiet and began reading "The King's Love."

I could sense him inhale my scent. I glanced at him. He looked like a peaceful boy sleeping. Who would believe this same man is a deadly mafia? I smiled to myself and continued reading.

The King's Love

This is the story of seven great warriors.

Let's go back 400 years…

Once upon a time, there were six great and eminent kingdoms on a vast island. All seven kingdoms were rich, powerful, and prosperous. Among them, the largest and wealthiest was the Kingdom of Indila—a land known for its unmatched strength and ambition.

The king of Indila, King Max Roy, was shrewd, handsome, and fiercely warlike. His mind was always occupied with one goal: to expand his kingdom and conquer the five neighboring realms. Because of this ambition, many wars were waged. However, the five kingdoms always united and stood strong together, forcing him to retreat each time.

The other great kingdoms were called Mani, So-Land, Seop, Kami, and La-La. Together, they were homes to six noble kings, two gifted princesses, and one legendary general. Each kingdom had its own rich history, legacy, and unmatched beauty.

The kings were known for their great wisdom, courage, and appearance. Among the two princesses, one was renowned for her extraordinary talent in painting, and the other was celebrated for her mastery of music.

But among all the beauty and strength, King Max Roy's heart was captured—not by power, but by love.

He had become enchanted by one of the princesses. Her delicate paintings spoke to his soul. Quietly and in disguise, he would visit her kingdom—admiring her art from afar and secretly purchasing her paintings, without ever revealing his identity.

Yet in his heart, he knew…

He didn't just want her kingdom.

He wanted her.

Y/N's POV

He woke up, and I felt a weight lift off my shoulder. He looked adorable with his pouty lips. I smiled. I hadn't noticed the time pass. But now I felt a little disappointed—I still wanted to read more.

Still, I was excited about visiting the Mizoland King's Palace. I couldn't wait.

The plane began its descent. I put the book away and stared out the window.

Mr. V: Why didn't you wake me up? I didn't even realize when I fell asleep.

Y/N: I didn't realize the time either...

He smiled and leaned closer. My heart beat faster. He always knew how to fluster me.

Y/N: We're still in the plane—and all the students and teachers are here.

Mr. V: So what?

Y/N: They can see you. You need to behave. This isn't your house.

He smirked.

Mr. V: What if I don't?

I stayed silent. What could I even say? He leaned in quickly, kissed me, and pulled back like nothing happened—then looked around casually.

I sat stunned. My cheeks turned red as a tomato. He laughed at my reaction.

Finally, we landed. Mr. V waited until all of us had left the airport before leaving with his men.

We arrived at the hotel. Everyone headed to their rooms, including us. After settling in, we went straight to sleep.
