Archon asked, his stubborn pride finally snapping and turning into something worse.
Desperation.
"Why my world!? Why here!? Why now!? What did we do!?
We never once challenged you!
We never once said anything bad about you!!
Then why!?"
He asked, his helplessness turning into anger.
And Nux, who was walking towards him with that same calm, amusing smile on his face, suddenly stopped.
Then, he looked at Archon. For the first time since the beginning, it felt like he was looking at another living being and not a toy made solely for his amusement.
Nux then tilted his head, as if wondering whether all these questions deserved an answer. In the end, Nux just shrugged.
He had all the time in the world, so why not have a little conversation? After all, constantly reading memories to learn what the other person was thinking was… quite boring.
"Did you not hear what I said in my speech that day?"
He asked, then looked somewhat offended as he thought of another possibility.
