Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Indeed, a Huge Volume of Nobles in Destiny

Cheng Guodong was extremely generous and ordered a huge table of dishes as soon as he entered the restaurant.

The dishes at the farmhouse were served in full portions and were not presented in a deceiving manner for the sake of an attractive presentation with only a tiny dish or butterfly.

Big sea bowls were filled with braised meat, large plates loaded with various steamed seafood, and from the big clay pot wafted the fragrance of chicken stewed with mushrooms...

Tao Ti had eaten a lot at the company and had good meals too, but compared to this lavish hospitality, it still fell short.

"Can I really eat?" Tao Ti's eyes sparkled with anticipation as she asked.

"Eat!" Cheng Guodong waved his hand grandly.

Cheng Guodong sipped his wine and nibbled on peanuts. He wasn't very hungry at the moment but gradually... he felt that something was amiss!

The braised meat in the big sea bowls was decreasing at a visibly rapid rate, all that was left of the chicken stewed with mushrooms was broth, and the seafood... only empty shells were left in front of Tao Ti!

"Have you... not eaten for several days?" Cheng Guodong was quite alarmed.

"I haven't missed a meal, I eat on time every meal!"

"Stop eating, don't hurt yourself by overeating!"

"I can handle it!" Tao Ti puffed up her cheeks and asserted with sincere eyes that she was not lying.

"This table... ten people couldn't finish it all!" Cheng Guodong believed she was overstretching herself. Without another word, he picked her up. "Let's go, big brother will take you to see a doctor, get some medicine to help digest!"

Tao Ti looked back longingly at the unfinished feast on the table, repeatedly stressing that she wasn't yet full, but Cheng Guodong didn't believe it one bit.

After being forcibly taken to the hospital and examined, the doctor shook his head: "No indigestion, the child is somewhat malnourished."

Cheng Guodong repeatedly made sure, and finally believed that Tao Ti was indeed a natural Big Stomach King.

Cheng Guodong held Tao Ti's small hand as they left the hospital, while on the other side, Cheng Lu and King of Film Xu were frantically searching for someone.

"Weren't you supposed to watch the child!" Cheng Lu exclaimed angrily.

King of Film Xu hung his head in guilt: "I wasn't paying attention..."

"What if she fell into the water, or tumbled down the mountain! No, we have to keep looking!" Cheng Lu strode forward, nearly stumbling over a stone but was steadied by King of Film Xu's timely assistance.

Cheng Lu shook off his hand and continued forward, while King of Film Xu followed behind like a docile daughter-in-law.

Not far away, Tao Ti spotted Cheng Lu and King of Film Xu and waved: "Mother Cheng! Father Xu!"

Cheng Lu hurried over and scooped up the child, eyeing the oddly dressed Cheng Guodong warily.

King of Film Xu stared at Cheng Guodong for a while, feeling that he looked very familiar.

The director rushed over, eagerly greeting Cheng Guodong: "Chairman Cheng, a great honor to have you, please excuse the lack of a proper welcome."

The cameraman temporarily shut off the camera, informing Cheng Lu and King of Film Xu that this man was the biggest investor.

Cheng Lu was stunned for a moment and tentatively called out, "Great-uncle?"

Cheng Guodong turned to look at her, and after staring for a long time, he finally recognized her: "Oh, it's you. Haven't seen you in many years, you've grown up so much."

There was a large difference in generational seniority, but the two were actually not many years apart. Cheng Lu's mouth twitched slightly, and she nodded: "Yes, I haven't seen you since I was seven."

The Cheng Family was a vast family, with everyone busy with their own matters, and many living abroad, which meant there had been many years without a family reunion.

They didn't have much time to catch up on old times, as Cheng Guodong's phone rang and he had to leave temporarily for some urgent business.

"Hello, Grandpa, the Unlined Garment isn't very useful, I still ran into trouble."

"You, always ignoring my advice not to go out these days. Did anything happen this time? Do you have someone with you?"

Grandpa had arranged bodyguards for him, but he found them too conspicuous and deliberately gave them the slip.

Cheng Guodong responded perfunctorily with a few grunts, "I'm fine. However, the master you asked to forecast for me, seems like my destined savior has appeared."

"The master said, your destined savior will rescue you from fire and water, and turn danger into safety, and they are a person of Huge Volume."

"I did nearly drown, and it was she who saved me, indeed fulfilling the 'rescued from fire and water.' And... her appetite is indeed of a Huge Volume."
