Chapter 265 - Family time

Realizing that my actions have consequences is a big deal. I have always considered myself to be considerate but I guess I am still lacking in some ways.

I need to practice being considerate. While I pondered, we have arrived at Primis Societas. This place is as lively as ever.

The actual location of this place is shocking. This place exists in my system but it is treated as an independent place.

My actions have almost no consequences here. I may be the ruler of this system but this place is independent. I think it's made to be a retirement shelter.

Everyone is here. By that I mean those who were with me. Fiona and Samantha's mother came as well. Strauss politely declined saying he wanted to monitor the Free World.

I did go nuts before when killing everyone in Nora's village. I had heard that it's a cycle so I didn't think too much of it.

Well, it it's too big of a problem, I will fix it later. This place is vast. I do know that and I believe many important people live here.

Last time I came here, I was in a hurry so I didn't get the chance to properly check it out.

My entourage is big. We stand out. If I look at this place from a normal perspective, it's just like an urban neighborhood. The people here do not care for luxury and such because they all have enjoyed those things.

I press the bell and dad opens the door.

"We are here."

"We were waiting. Come in." (Dad)

We all enter the house. This many people would feel cramped in this house. It's big but we are more than 10. So I change the spatial coordinates a bit to make it feel bigger.

Mom is in the kitchen.

"Mom, we're here."

"Sit down. I'm almost done." (Mom)

She yelled from the kitchen. Fiona and Samantha's mom made their way to the kitchen. It's a bit of a shocker that even Samantha's mom loves to cook.

I need to know her name otherwise it's getting hard to address her.

And yes, everyone has made themselves at home. The ladies are taking turns holding Clea. She seems to be enjoying it though. Her smile, it's too bright.

"Master, why don't you hold her too?" (Hazel)

"I will. First you all take your turns. Otherwise I feel like someone may just snap."

Aura and Gwen still have that competitive mindset. So I will patiently wait my turn.

Eden and Tiana have taken Nora with them to the yard. There's a swing in the yard which dad made in his free time.

They are busy with the swings. Aera and Aegis are monitoring this entire place to get a better idea of how it functions. Doris and Amaryllis are in the yard, taking care of the flowers.

Wait, I am the only one who is standing still. I sit down on the sofa and turn on the television. It's an old device but it gets the job done.

"Clive, let's go for a quick fishing trip." (Dad)

Dad came prepared with a fishing kit and two rods.

"Boys, it's time for lunch." (Mom)

Mom yelled from the kitchen.

"We'll be back soon. Don't worry." (Dad)

No other answer came. I will take that as a silent yes.

"We'll be back then."

"Come back soon." (Aura)

It's better than just sitting idle.

I take one rod from dad and start on our quick fishing trip.

"Where are we fishing today, dad?"

"There's an old lake nearby. I went there some time ago." (Dad)

Maybe this will be pretty enjoyable. The last time we fished, I was distracted. I hope I can enjoy it this time.

The temperature remains constant. It's optimal weather setting. Our walk was brisk. I was enjoying the weather when we came across someone.

I remember the lady. She is Ms. Athro. I met her last time I was here. She is going the opposite direction.

"Good day, Ms. Athro." (Dad)

"A very good day to you as well, Mr. Belmont." (Athro)

"Greetings, Ms. Athro."

She looked at me and straightened up a bit.

"Oh my! It's lord Clive. Here for a family visit?" (Athro)

She is trying to be as polite as possible.

"Yes. I came here with my family. We were getting ready for lunch but dad said he wanted to fish a bit."

"I see. Well, my old man is there as well. I hope you will treat him well." (Athro)

She bid her farewell with that.

"So, her husband is also a fishing person."

"Yes. That's how we came to know each other." (Dad)

Hmm..fishing buddies! People who share the same hobby do get along well. Be it a good or a bad relationship, they do get along. I mean, love and hatred are just the opposite sides of the same coin.

You are giving that person space in your mind. That's how attraction is born.

Positive or negative, it's there at least. Anyway, we keep walking to the fishing spot and soon arrive there.

Hmm…it's similar to an inland sea. I mean, for a lake it's big. It's different from our previous fishing spot and it seems to be pretty popular.

I am seeing a crowd. There's a wooden platform going towards the water. The platform has people on both sides.

"This place seems pretty lively."

"It is. Because it's a big lake. I hear it has a unique water mixture and the aquatic life is thriving." (Dad)

He seems pretty excited. But the platform is occupied. There's not a single spot left.

"There's another one. It's a bit far from the road and covered in thickets so not many go there." (Dad)

We walk towards the forest. There's a small forest by the lake. We find another platform there. These resemble a pier but I don't it's used for that reason.

We prepare our rigs and submerge it in the water and wait.

Hmm…I guess the appeal is apparent. Everyone needs some time to collect their thoughts. Fishing does give that time. For those who like to think, trace back their steps and learn from mistakes or just like to plan ahead can and do benefit from fishing.

I am trying not to overthink. The outside situation is confusing. I would rather not stick my nose where it doesn't belong.

Thinking back, my actions have been immature sometimes. Were I a normal person, I would have most definitely suffered.

Humans for better or for worse are social beings. We can not stay away from society. It always finds you.

I was an oddity. Without my luck, I wouldn't have survived. So, from a human's perspective, I am the epitome of impossible and improbable.

My actions are improbable for a human and impossible to execute.

Strength does change a person. Be it physical, psychological or even monetary, being strong does change a person.

It gives us flexibility. Utilizing that flexibility is important.

I take a deep breath and look at my rig. It's being pulled. So I have to start slowly reeling it in and tire the fish.

I didn't make haste and kept it steady while slowly reeling it in. And then I took it out of the water.

"Oh…you got a nice one." (Dad)

"What kind of a fish is it?"

It's something I have never seen before. It's multicolored like bismuth but it does have all the fish features. The size isn't too bad. It's probably about 6 kilograms. It's a meter long and pretty thin.

If it's thin, how is it so heavy? Anyway, I put the fish in my storage and look at dad.

He also got a bite and is reeling it in.

His catch looks rather normal. Just like a normal orfe. Hmm…interesting! Dad put the fish in his basket.

"Should I keep it in my storage?"

"No. It's fine this way." (Dad)

And we get up. So we were here for one fish each and this is a nice short trip.

Hmm…I guess being a creator is a lot heavier than I expected. I hope I can keep my system running.
