Quickly, I corrected myself, "I mean crimes. You shouldn't play around with devil summoning formations. If the devil is not happy and decides to enslave you, you are beyond redemption."
The trio looked at each other and then back at me, their expressions unified in solemn understanding. "We understand, doc," they said in unison, their voices earnest.
"Good," I replied, nodding in approval.
I continued my run, passing them. Somehow, my head felt a little clearer, the weight of my earlier thoughts lifting slightly. At last, I could actually enjoy my morning.
