Chapter 104 - Goddess of the dark arts

A shiver ran up Alia's spine as goosebumps lined her skin, but it wasn't from the cold; she was terrified of what her evil grandmother was planning to do with her this time.

She brought her to an eerie place, dark and abandoned, where no one would ever think to find them. Alia couldn't hear the sounds of the busy road; she knew that if she were to scream, no one would hear it. 

'Is she finally tired of me?' Alia couldn't help but think. Her palms moistened as her eyes followed the length of the trio's robes before focusing on the happy face the women sported though tears were falling freely from their eyes. 

'Is grandmother selling my soul to the devil?' Alia internally questioned, her eyes widening in horror.

It was the only reasonable explanation she could conjure for why they were wearing robes and why her grandmother brought her to them. She tightly fisted the hem of her dress as she thought with a gulp. 'They must be crying because their God is getting another soul.'
