The woman stared wide-eyed into her husband's eyes which had conflicting emotions. His stare was dead and blank, but she could see that he was in pain, he was feeling sorrowful.
With those eyes, moist with unspilled tears, he was trying to tell her something that his mouth and body couldn't communicate no matter how hard he tried.
"Can you not see me, my love?" she questioned, teary-eyed. "Can you not recognize me?" She gently patted her chest as she stared into his eyes, "It's me...it's your Sharon."
"Sh-Sharon?" he stuttered out.
"Y-Yes, it's me...it's me, my love." Sharon looked at him with pleading eyes. "You have to tell me what happened so I can help you. Who is this dead man? Why did you take him here?"
"I must protect and keep him here until she comes for him."
"Until she comes for him?" she muttered to herself first. A deep crease appeared between Sharon's brows as frown lines appeared on the shriveled skin of her forehead. "Which woman are you talking about?"
