Xin Wuming jumped back before the priest arrived. He immediately repeated his Meandering Sword Thrust when the priest's hammer slammed into the ground. The ground cratered from the collision.
Xin Wuming's crisscrossing sword lights headed toward the priest, aiming to steal a hit as the opponent finished his swing. However, the water swirling around the hammer suddenly burst into a massive wave. The water swirled around the priest, creating a whirlpool. The force from this whirlpool destroyed Xin Wuming's sword lights. The wave also struck him, sending him tumbling.
With his balance lost, Xin Wuming couldn't control himself. He was swept helplessly by the wave. The water that was gushing outward suddenly changed direction. It abruptly retracted, flowing backward. The current carried him back toward the priest. The priest lifted his hammer again, ready to strike when Xin Wuming arrived.
