As he thought that, a huge magic shield appeared in front of him and blocked the projectiles. Velten looked towards Rein who nodded to him and went back to focus on supporting the others, after he activated the magic shield to protect Velten when he saw the boss aiming for him.
"I don't have to worry about the ice bullets for now. However, I can't reach for my dagger in time, so there is no other way to deal with the wolves but to do this…"

Nevertheless, as he was standing in his place, Velten felt the ground under him trembling, and before he could look behind, three ice spears came out from under the ground and penetrated his body.

Velten dropped his bow and started coughing blood after the spears penetrated his lungs and heart.
