Chapter 256 - Fire and Stamina

Eva ran until she ran out of breath. Her mind was in turmoil the entire time. She needed to build stamina, which meant she needed to run. The soldiers in her father's army would always run to build stamina. It seemed to be the right answer because Lee left her to herself. She was grateful for the high walls around the training ground, because she probably looked pathetic wheezing for air right about now.

It felt like her lungs were on fire, and the fire in her mana was coursing wildly underneath her skin. It felt so different from the water mana she had within her this entire time, and the two always seemed at odds with each other. Come to think of it, she had never used her water magic even after she inherited the training lessons from her ancestor.
