A low rumble filled the room as Red's tail moved straight up. He got up hastily, pushing Arya to the side. Despite the harsh movement, she didn't move. Eva felt off. She moved to Arya's side as Red's growl continued to fill the room. She shook Arya, but the small child did not move or stir at all. She moved to Ember's side and picked him up out of the crib, but his body was heavy, and only faint breathing as his chest rose and fell told her he was still alive.
"Marietta, the children…" Before she could finish her sentence Red jumped through the window and into a dark figure who was attempting to infiltrate through it. Eva pulled Arya to her side then, and a noise outside the doors told her they were being attacked from the window and out in the hallway. They both felt too heavy in her grasp. The weight only an unconscious person feels.
