"Senior, can we be friends now?"
Hannah responded coldly with an "oh," completely uninterested, "I have to go to class, please make way for me."
The weather wasn't great today; the sky was overcast, looking like it could rain at any moment.
Sometimes a cool breeze would blow by, a rare relief from the recent oppressive heat.
There were many breakfast stalls at the school entrance, selling all sorts; fried noodles, salted vegetable porridge, or even sushi rolls. Sometimes, when students grew tired of the school breakfast, they would buy from the stalls outside.
However, the inconvenient part was that you could only eat them outside the school.
Facing Hannah's perfunctory response, Jimmy Simmons didn't seem to mind and smiled like the sunny big boy he was, "How about you treat me to a noodle breakfast then, senior?"
Hannah looked at him and said, "No money."
Quite an unexpected answer.
