"Octopus, maybe a bit weak in plants..."
When the power of the Octopus factor proved ineffective on the semi-plant body, Lu Ping'an's suspicion was somewhat confirmed.
The reason was actually quite simple; its world didn't have many plants.
The aquatic world wasn't without plants, but the deep-sea environment determined the difficulty of photosynthesis, and dominant magic plants from other worlds were destined to be rare.
In most aquatic worlds, plants were actually "decorations," and in the deep-sea world, those plants that could still persist were likely to have transformed into carnivorous ones.
By some definitions, plants are primary producers utilizing sunlight as energy, so their weakness in the ocean world is understandable.
Naturally, the gene modules of marine life forms, like the Octopus, don't have much focus on plant systems.
"...No rush, let's play with it a bit."
