Compared to the abundant water resources in the Southern rivers, the North appears much more barren. At least along Chen Yuan's journey, he has only encountered one sizable river, named the Yellow Sand River.
As the name suggests, the river contains flowing sand.....
The necessary route for Chen Yuan to reach Liangzhou passes through Bing State, which acts as a barrier separating Central State from the states of You and Liang, serving as the protector of Central State.
As previously mentioned, Central State is not large, having an area roughly equivalent to five Prefecture Cities, while the surrounding states of Yang Province, Yun State, and Bing State are considerably larger.
Compared to the flourishing Martial Arts in the South, the North, although renowned for its strong traditions, seems somewhat lacking, possibly due to the threats posed by the Northern Barbarians over the centuries.
