Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Hmm

"Hydrapple, stretch a bit and scout the surroundings."

"Draaa!!!"

"Master, the pokemons have been distributed to the people."

"Good. Now instruct them to set the field for our food. Has someone already subdued the Krokorok line?"

"Sadly, master, the sandile line seems to resist us."

"Have jen, attend to the problem, after which build an underground escape room; the artisans we have are probably enough to finish the bunker."

"Master, there is an abundant tree in this part of the surroundings, but we couldn't find any of source of water."

"Come out, cacnea!"

"Cac!!"

"Help John find a water source in the desert."

Cacnea looked at John and then nodded

"Cac!!"

Cacnea raised its arm and led John away

"Ferroseed i need you."

"Seed?"

"Find me a water source in the forest."

"Seed"

Ferroseed, using gravity, flew away while waving its vines

"Litleo, help in turning raw wood to charcoal, we have to get ready for the winter."

"Liit!!"

Litleo looked at the place where i pointed and saw its sizzlipede group and ran to the place

"Now, unto the most strenuous parts of being a lord"

With all the years I've endured, my Pokémon under rank 7 are one of the strongest out here in these parts, and thankfully, Hydrapple became my Pokémon because it would've been hard for me to control the applin line

Although buying a lot of slaves and recruiting slum people to be my official people became a mockery to my siblings, i think it is a good move because i certainly gained their loyalty, and with my futuristic knowledge

The pokemons of my subordinates have a power level of a 3rd rank gym level, which is not a lot, but let's just say it's a decent power level

The Pokémon I managed to buy for them were cheap, costing only a few silvers, like Capsakid, centiskorch, Sandshrew, Sunkern, wooper, of course, the dark type i could buy cheaply, which i gave to my trusted guard team, is Nymble

Buying them wouldn't have been cheap if they were tested, but since i just randomly picked them up, i managed to gather a reliable source of protection for my people

The machamp and Timber Line were a good addition since they were given to me by the principal of the school

"I can't believe those were 'trash' Pokémon the school didn't want."

"Well, jess, that's how you understand a being's usefulness, although they couldn't fight, doesn't mean their trash, they're just meant for other things."

"Yeah, i get that, but those are pokemons that you don't see every day."

"Ohh, the conkeldurr and machamp?"

"Yes, those! How can you evolve those pokemons when they were so thin and weak!!"

"HAHAHAHA, of course a lot of grinding, people to look after them and a lot of resources"

"…I guess their worth the investment at least"

"They just don't worth 'that' much, no, their worth so much more."

The group of muscle Pokémon is constructing a better 'wall' than the initial wooden wall

"And how did you acquire that cement!!"

"Well, how would i build a wall if i don't use the sturdiest material i can have?"

"I mean, isn't that hard with the money you have?"

"I am strapped with a lot of financial burden, but that doesn't mean i can't outmaneuver how i spend money."

I looked at the wall being constructed from the ground up, with some of the fire Pokémon helping dry the wall and some of the water Pokémon helping mix the cement

Jess stood beside me, looking at the Pokémon I've acquired through the years using the money i got from trading natural resources and helping Pokémon master some kind of moves

"You know you could've been a move tutor instead you chose to be a town lord from some unknown place, why?"

"…its power Jess, power to break free from conspiring thieves and crazy people who want to destroy me"

Looking at my Pokémon returning with John tailing them, i smiled at Jess and said while walking away

"If i have enough power, i can appreciate everything this world has to offer."

I hugged my iron barbed Pokémon and my spiked cactus and looked at their happy looks

"Sir, how are you not hurt by those sharp parts of your pokemon… anyway, sir, we found several water sources and we definitely can draw some of that flowing water directed to the village."

"Hmm, its going to be night soon, postpone the workers and have them retreat and rest for the night."

"…As you will master"

"Remember, John, proper rest will lead to a healthy living."

"Of course, master"

After settling the village, i made my way to one of the training grounds and had my pokemons do their training

"Hydrapple, i want you to condense that protection more firmly"

"Ferro, come on, i want you to keep tanking those hits!!"

"Cacnea, swing those arms like you mean it!!"

"Litleo, that's not enough firepower i want to have as one of the strongest pyroar under me."

After a sweet training and brutal combat training, my Pokémon exhaustion was showing to the training grounds

Their bodies lay in the grounds, showing how tired they were. i had the maids bring the materials for cooking since i am the one cooking for the foods of my pokemons, letting myself indulge in the cooking spree

I didn't notice that a lot of the Pokémon were surrounding me, including some Pokémon I didn't know were in this place

"Master, A group of Swellow is flying above the training ground."

"Cacnea, call these birds and tell them to pick me some berries so they can eat my cooking."

"CaC!!"

Feeding a group of Swellow was a little bit of another financial burden but gaining trust from a local is an effective way to be integrated in this unknown place, plus thanks to their presence i got to know that some pokemons are roaming around here

After a night of rest my people got to work and i as their lord start checking the surrounding forest, and what i found is interesting
