Chapter 2 - CH1

Life is a gift one should not squander, that was what my family has had as our unofficial motto and that is what I lived by for years.

I joined the military after high school, after serving for my 4 years I went back your our family farm and took over after my fathers death and I stayed their for the next 10 years where I died in a silo when it shifted unexpectedly.

Then the next thing I know I am in a generic modern office, where worked a interesting bunch from Minotaurs in business suits to imps working on computers. I a very non confrontational person I sat in a close chair and waited.

I had no idea how long I sat their while they all worked, till a what I would call a monster girls that looked like a Moth noticed me.

Moth-"Sir, has someone got to you yet?"

Dakota-"No. ma'am, they were really busy so I just sat down in this chair til someone came to me."

The moth girl just sighed, and grumbled something about asshole imps or something and had me follow her to a office.

Her office was nicer than the main floor, set in a Victorian style with nice hard wood desk. She sat me down and began to lol through a large stack of paper while asked me a variety of questions from how old I was to what year it was.

Moth, as the questions progressed she became more and more frustrated. Till she just went into a stream of swearing in variety of language that I do not think were meant for human ears.

Dakota-"Ma'am what is the situation here, I know I am dead but this is still very weird."

Moth-"Juts call me Jenny Dakota, you have earned that much. The situation is this, you upon your death were supposed to be reincarnated on your Earth where you would help set humanity to the stars. But because of a clerical error your window to be reincarnated closed about 300 years ago. So now I have to deal with the shit show, and it is not your fault.

So now do to you being left here for about 300 years ago you get to jump dimensions and get a power up."

Dakota-"I want to be reincarnated in 1940s Europe around London after Dunkirk, for my power I want the Celestial forge."

Jenny-"Hmmmmm, okay that will work but this will be a slightly different world than you are used to magic is being used and their are aliens that can wipe Earth out instantly. But you will embody a mechanic in the heart of London on June 7th 1940. Now your roles

-Tool King (Modded Fallout) (100CP)

Starting with a cartload of random junk and ending with high-quality ammunition or power cells, cutting-edge improvements to power armor, overcharged laser weaponry or even entirely new kinds of science is practically trivial for the average Fallout protagonist yet their talents pale compared to yours. This Perk grants you immediate access to pretty much any kind of crafting shown in the Fallout series: from Hand Loader to Science! and Chemist to Robotics Expert, if it somehow involves building things out of other things (from guns to ammo to even entire buildings), you've got it - including perfectly memorized designs for the kind of components and tools you might need, like the Robotics Workbench or Nuka-Cola Mixer station. In fact, you're good enough that you'll never make mistakes while doing this type of crafting (assuming someone doesn't start shooting at you or some such), and you'll be perfectly aware of where you were in the process if you do find yourself interrupted and have to continue later on.

-Certified Tech (Fallout) (600CP)

You are one of the brightest minds of the 23rd Century! You now understand Pre-War science, and can even reverse-engineer existing technology to learn how it works, and how to recreate it. Plus, if you can learn the basics of truly alien science, this perk helps you master it the same way.

Jenny-"Huh, nice role you got some nice roles now good luck Dakota."

22 Years of memories enter my head, an orphan in London that was lucky to be trained by a local mechanic who had taken me in, then the mechanic leader passed away and gave me the shop. Now after the war started and I was deemed unfit to fight, now with the forge I can fight and defend my new home.

After a night rest, a began to plan out what I can do to help the War effort. What I have in my shop could be used to make some decent weapons, even some fusion cores powering some Laser AA guns would be a massive boon to the battle of London.

I just had to get a meeting with the government, which was going to be a process. One idea was to make a couple of prototypes that the British government would like, the quickest would be designing a better rifle than what is available and a transistor would be great way of getting in the Door.

After going back and forth on what I wanted to worked on the FAL FN (The Right Arm of the Free World) as much as I wanted to just arm the Allied military they did not have the infrastructure to use them on a large scale.

Next was the transistor which I was just going to put in a two way radio which would be huge asset in the field of fighting.

But long term I was working on getting my hands on some radioactive materials which was actually pretty easy as their are a lot of radioactive dish ware that was sold in the 20 so I just had to find some second hand stores and melt them down.

And while our one day getting scrap, the forge triggered again

-Scrapper (Fallout 4) (300CP)

You have the capability to dismantle and repurpose objects for your own creations; even ones that you might not fully understand. So long as it's not hopelessly beyond your understanding, indestructible, or ridiculously big, you're capable of taking most things and reducing them to their base components, salvaging any working parts with only a few days of work at the worst.

Which was a great help in getting enough material to make the prototypes, while a little rough they work and are a little bulky about 1 foot tall and 3 In wide. While the same size of the SCR-536 but mine have the range of about 20 miles on land but 25 on sea by my math.

If I had better materials and a more complex assembly, but I did not want the current assembly lines to be retooled if they accept.

The FAL FN, which was retooled to .303 British (7.7×56mm Rimmed) which is what the current British military is using and hopefully I can convince them to covert to 7.62×51mm NATO.

Now all I had to try and enter the competition that the government was having over new designs which I was entering after practically using all of my savings to pay to enter.
