Charlotte thought returning home would help her relax, but in reality, both Mr. Thompson and her brothers noticed her absent-mindedness.
Initially, Charlotte left the hotel out of anger and grievance, but now she hopes Justin Battleson would contact her and give an explanation.
Yet, no matter how long Charlotte waited, not even a single call or message from Justin came through.
Staring at her phone lying quietly on the table, Charlotte couldn't help but purse her lips.
"Charlotte?"
James Thompson's voice brought Charlotte back from her daze. Seeing her somewhat bewildered expression, James smiled and took the vase from her hand, placing it on a nearby table.
His gaze then floated lightly over Charlotte's phone, and he slowly asked, "I heard you went to the crew to act?"
Before Charlotte could feel surprised by James' question, Felix Thompson, sitting not far away, jumped up from the sofa upon hearing it, quickly approaching Charlotte with curiosity in his eyes.
