Ningwan and Tang Lu met up, and it was still early, so they decided to check out the mall first.
"This jade looks really beautiful."
Tang Lu admired a piece of jade in the jewelry showcase.
"Wrap it up for us," Ningwan said to the shop assistant at the jewelry counter.
The shop assistant and Tang Lu both looked surprised.
Tang Lu quickly said, "Why are you buying it all of a sudden? I was just giving a compliment, I didn't mean anything else."
The shop assistant was also surprised; it was the first time she encountered a customer who wanted to buy something without even looking at it closely.
"You said this jade looks really beautiful. If you like it, then let's buy it," Ningwan said with a smile.
"What? You're buying it for me?" Tang Lu was even more surprised.
Ningwan shrugged, "What else? I'm not interested in these things myself, so of course, it's for you."
