Lorraine Hughes went to Radiant the morning before the anniversary celebration.
Emily Cowell was surprised to see her, "When did you come back? Haven't heard anything."
"I came back early."
"Alright then, going to check out the dresses?"
Lorraine nodded. She hadn't mentioned the dress to Nathan Bolton. If Radiant had one, she could just wear one of theirs. After all, she was attending in the capacity of a Radiant employee, not as Mrs. Bolton, so there was no need to dress too prominently.
The two of them headed to the place where Radiant stored dresses for their artists.
"Look if there's one you like, choose one and then get styled," Emily thought for a moment and added, "If it's a hidden marriage, the dress should be more understated."
"Got it."
In the end, Lorraine chose a black dress, with a neckline and cuffs adorned with pearls. The sleeves were puffed, and the hem had an irregular sprinkling of stars. Simple yet stunning, it looked both elegant and appropriate.
