Chapter 1698 - Black Sand

The Prima Deities of the underworld excelled at hiding, expertly covering all traces of their identities and actions. Although Archdeities from Divine Calamity Heaven or Divine Sea Heaven possessed more than sufficient power to track them down if they desired, neither faction bothered.

There were numerous practical reasons behind this choice, but the most important was political flexibility. The underworld Prima Deities were unique; they had no firm allegiance binding them permanently to any particular organization or continent.

If pressured too greatly, they could easily switch sides, becoming assets to the enemy overnight. Ultimately, it was far simpler—and safer—to leave them alone, at least for the time being.

Among the shadowy powers lurking beneath the Endlessdeath Continent's surface, the most fearsome was known as Death Sand, a clandestine organization controlled by a mysterious figure named Black Sand.
