Chapter 1914 - Just in time

At the bottom of the massive crater formed by the fall of the Primarch of Conquest Leviathan lay Cain.

His body was shattered.

His skin had been burned raw, his muscles pulverized, his bones splintered beyond recognition. Even his internal organs teetered on the edge of complete collapse, and his Sacred Organs that had been tempered over and over again by cosmic forces had suffered grievous damage. By all accounts, he stood with one foot in the grave and the other barely hanging on.

And yet, despite that devastating state, Cain's eyes flickered open. Thanks to the A.I. Chip Module still active within him, he could still see. He could still hear.

He watched the exchange between the warriors of the Scarlet Path and the triumphant but wounded Archdeities, and even with his body in ruin, a small smile tugged at the corners of his bloodied lips. That smile only grew stronger when a voice echoed gently in his mind.

"Sorry for the delay."
